My last bump with infertility came right before my ER and my RE told me that my ovaries were too high for him to reach. So he suggested a procedure to go in and try to adjust their position. Well I had the procedure yesterday and we had some good and bad outcomes. It seems that my right ovary was twisted and had a tumor so the best option for my health was to remove it. But we had good news in that my left was position above my bowels and he simply moved it and now it is in reach. My worry now is if the ivf will be a success with only 1 ovary...

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.  I hope everything works out. IF is so unfair.

That's unreal! I hope your pathology comes back fine and that you are able to move forward with IVF. I have no experience with this, but even with 2 ovaries, my right one is always the powerhouse that does nearly all the work. So I think it is definitely possible.

I also have both ovaries, but my left rarely produces anything...my right does all the work.

I too hope your pathology is negative.  But how lucky that they found it like this.  Often these go unnoticed for a long time.

Thank you all!!!!! We are still waiting on pathology. But if that comes back clear my RE wants me to do the May/June cycle. He said we may be a little more aggressive with the stims to help my one ovary. But he doesn't foresee any other problems. Of course this last problem was unforeseen as well. But. I'm just grateful that we have been undergoing these treatments or else it might have not been discovered until it was too late. I'm trying to remain positive and pray that this will all work out for my good!
