Anyone have any experience with delivering at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue?
I have heard about some hospitals being very pushy with epidurals. Should I be ready to fight it off or are they pretty good about respecting what moms want?
I also delivered at Overlake and have nothing but good things to say. I had a drug free childbirth and they respected that. My daughter did come quicker than most, so I don't think I would have had had time for an epidural. However, the staff was great.
I would recommend looking into a doula if you don't want an epidural. If nothing else they are a good support person and can be an advocate for you.
I gave birth at Overlake my first time around and was unfortunately pushed for an epidural which led to me not progressing and ending up with a C section. I think it really depends on the doctor. Mine broke her hand so I got the doctor who was on call and she did not seem to want to be there. Doing Swedish in Issaquah this time.
