I'm here. J will only sleep on my chest tonight (which gives me a crappy sleep). Every time I put him down in his PNP he squirms and makes gas noises. It's going to be a long night...
I'm up doing the first motn feeding. We just got home from our friends house where DH got wasted like I asked him not to. I felt like I had two babies only one of them kept turning the radio station on the way home and then just falling asleep anyway. He apologized like 80 times and brought me a fresh water so I can't be to mad. Well Matthew just finished on muh right boob time to burp and offer mr. Lefty. Have a blessed night ladies.
Im awake...by choice. Baby has been asleep since 8 something and it's 12:30 now. I could have been sleeping the whole time but I am staying awake until he wakes up because I would rather be awake then be woken up.. im sure if I would have fallen asleep at anytime before this he would have woken up a long time ago... ugh.. I love sleep but I dont understand why I dont take advantage of sleeping when I can.

I'm here...but debating going to bed. DH turns 30 tomorrow, so we had his big friends birthday party tonight since we will be out of town for Easter on his actual bday. LO is still sleeping, and MIL said she was sleeping for about 2 hours before I got home (so, going on about 3 hours now). I'm trying to decide if I should go to bed or stay up and wait for her to wake up before I go to bed...le sigh.
Here. Babe finished nursing a moment ago, and is now snoozing under my right boob (his favorite place to sleep). I need to get up and put us both in bed, but I have had zero motivation alllllll day. I wouldn't be surprised if my next check in involves us waking up on the couch.

Here. P just ate and now I'm pumping. How I loathe MOTN pumping. I don't know how I'm going to do it when I'm back to work next week. At least school gets out in 6 weeks!
I'm here. I love DH to death, but him lying in bed, half-asleep, while the baby is crying (since she hates being changed) asking questions like, "What's happening? What are you doing?" is not helpful lol.
Waiting for Isla to fall asleep. She wants to suck her thumb so bad, but she can't. It's cute and sad.

This has been me the last few nights but because of reflux. It's the only way Cam is getting significant sleep. I feel your pain!
I feel like every time I post, I mention the word reflux. It has completely taken over my life! In addition to thickening his formula and the Zantac rx, Camden is on Maalox and was switched from similac advance to sensitive. Fingers crossed that this works and gives this poor kid some relief....and me some MUCH needed sleep!
We're dealing with reflux here as well. Fortunately, when he goes down to sleep he does typically stay asleep for 2-4 hours. It can just take a lot of holding upright, patting, and fussing to get there. Poor baby is so uncomfortable.
He's been on Prevacid about a week, but he started having more tummy issues as a side effect, mucousy, runny poop, crying a lot more than usual, probably due to stomach cramps. So we're trying a reduced dosage, but I am not sure if it's relieving the reflux. Still lots of crying tonight, and moderate spitting. He's currently asleep on my chest, hopefully he'll sleep a few hours before we're up for a feeding.
Just finished nursing and now sitting with LO upright because of spitting which I also feel I bring up every post! I called today to see if we could start Zantac but the pedi said it was still too early to be actual reflux and to try colic calm. Still took awhile to settle her down but she slept for 4 hours! I Actually woke her to feed because she went 5ish hours from the last feed and I don't know when it's ok to let them go however long they want. I don't think pedi mentioned it but I could be wrong. Any insight?
Well after a 6 1/2 hour stretch and a great nursing session I was feeling on top of the world! Until poor DS just projectile threw up all over me!! I've never seen so much come out of a baby. It was pretty scary as it seemed like it wouldn't stop. So much for quickly going back to bed. DH cleaned up DS while I jumped into the shower and now I'm holding DS making sure he's ok which I think he is as he is passed out with a goofy smile on his face.
@kls33145@bunniekrissy@Sanibel21 How was the reflux diagnosed? Is it based on spitting up only? The nurse discussed it with me and just said to watch for spitting up because she suspects it but we didn't discuss diagnosis or treatment as J is going to the doctor Tuesday.
@stufie, mine hasn't actually been diagnosed with reflux. In fact my pedi says it's too early to be reflux and may still just be immature sphincters. But she does this thing where she swallows a lot after the feeding is over. DH calls it chewing cud, I guess like when animals regurgitate their food and swallow it back down. And other times she does spit up, sometimes to the point of coughing and choking a little. It makes for long nights because I just keep listening to her hoping she doesn't actually choke. She also does not burp well and I can hear gas bubbles in her belly so I'm sure that plays a role in all this too. It's so hard to pinpoint what the actual issue starts with! But I guess if it goes beyond a month then she would consider it reflux. Is your LO having symptoms? And how old? (Mobile)
Starting to think our 5 hour stretch of sleep is our normal..and I'm so happy! It doesn't happy every night, but most nights. As long a lo nurses and goes back to sleep I'll be really happy.
I am here. This is my second MOTN feeding and it's only 3am. Oh and I am sick and so paranoid of E getting sick. Especially with 3 family dinners over the next 3 days!
Bring sick I tried to nurse lying doing so we could both just sleep through and sleep on, well my babe is too gassy for that shit, so now I have here passed out on my chest trying to get the bubbles out.
Up with DD for technically our first feed. She went down around 1am though because she was cluster feeding for a good two hours. Hopefully she will sleep a good 3 hours or so after this.
@stufie Cam has silent reflux, it comes up and he swallows it back down, usually gagging and choking in the process. In silent and regular reflux, LOs are very uncomfortable because of the acid. Cam grunts and moans a lot and is super frustrated bc of it. And screaming cries are no fun. The doc will probably check your LO's throat to see if it's red (due to acid).
Gas pains led to pooping led to meltdown led to needing a top off led to sleeping in my arms again and I don't want to disturb him or put him down. I'm going to be tired as fuck all day.
I did, however, plan my target trip. They have gift card deals on pampers and enfamil that expire today.
DS is fighting a cold- poor kid has a hoarse voice. So he cluster fed from 9-11:45. But then he slept until just short of 6! I'm in heaven since I'm also fighting off a sore throat. Hoping we can sleep a little more after this feed.
Lily went 3 1/2 hours between feedings. Which is a little short. I'm hoping that she at least sleeps that long between her next feeding because mama and daddy are tired after being at Disneyland all day.
@stufie - Our reflux diagnosis is based on frequent spitting up in more than usual quantity, sometimes projectile vomiting, fussiness and arching back after feeds. He also makes a face like something is coming back up and sometimes coughs during these times.

@Sanibel21 I'm not sure - she just told me just pay special attention to spitting up, and the "chewing cud" issue. He seems to be happier upright too. It may be nothing but I just wondered because it did come up during her visit.
Re: Roll call!
Fallyn is sleeping and has been since 10ish
Apparently bumping is more important than sleep

And now that I'm ready to get back in bed, major gas or pooping is making the boy start waking up. Balls.

Welcome aboard the reflux train. It sucks.

Going to be an AW...look at my little princess!!!
Fallyn went 5 hours, yippie! Now if I'd have slept more than 3 of the said five I wouldn't be so dang tired!
Fx for a 3 he stretch!

This is how we were diagnosed as well.
