Sort of a potty training question

I was wondering if any of you with slightly older kids might have some suggestions for me.  We have two kids who can't wipe very efficiently after a BM.  One of ours is a four year old girl and she can't reach behind and I don't want her to get an infection by wiping forward.  Our other one is a four year old boy and he is just messy.  I have tried everything I can think of including buying the wet wipes and having them hop off the pot to wipe (but that sometimes makes a mess all by itself) and having them do it while I direct but nothing is working.  Does anyone have any other tips because I can't wipe too many more behinds before I go crazy!
