I have been MIA for awhile now. There has been a lot going on lately, my pregnancy was going great (other than modified bedrest due to twins) until I hit 28 weeks and was dx'd with unequal placental sharing between the babies. Their growth discordance was 23.5%. I was immediately sent to MFM and they confirmed the dx. I then started 2x weekly NST and BPP along with cord flow checks. I was already on modified bedrest and they just made me have more restrictions once all this started. I was told if I made it to 30 weeks I would be lucky, well I'm now 33 weeks and 2 days and I am scheduled for a c section on the 23rd @ 34 weeks. I got the betamethasone shots last week so that's a plus. They didn't want me to go past that or go into labor on my own because my placenta is already working at max capacity and if I go into labor and have contractions my placenta could rupture. Thanks so much for reading this, I am looking for a place where I can share my frustrations and feelings especially once they get here. I've never had a c section or a baby this early so I'm pretty nervous.

well hello! sorry to hear things have been stressful for you but I hope things go well with your csection and your babies are healthy. it sounds like the doctors are doing what is best for you and the babes. keep us updated on how everything goes. we have a few amazing preemie moms on this board who I think could give you lots of great support and advice as well

We have met with the neonatologist at our hospital and she said that too! Since I got the steroid shots that really helps to mature their lungs. She also said that they should be there around 2 weeks as long as everything goes well. Our first set of mo/di were born at 35w3d and stayed for 8 days, but I didn't get the shots. They are mo/di, they share a placenta and we are team green!!

Yes, our first set is 7 1/2 and mo/di, both spontaneous and both a complete shock to the system.

Welcome back! Sorry to hear what you have gone through but so glad that the plan in place is such a good one. Keep us posted on the progress and 34 weeks is a great indication that they will be fine

I'm kind of invested b/c I am a twin (an identical twin).  Btw, I've never seen the phrase mono/di before.  Does that mean identical?
