Do I need both?

Do you all think that I need the Snugapuppy Bouncer Seat and the Snugapuppy Rock N Play?  I received both at my shower and I also have an almost brand new Pack N Play that was given to me by a neighbor.  I know that a lot of people have said their newborns sleep in either the RNP or PNP at first and a lot of people told me that the bouncer is great to have because it's easy to move around.  So maybe I should keep both the bouncer and RNP?

And I also received 3 different activity mats/gyms.  The FP Rainforest Activity mat, the FP Kick N Play Piano gym, and Infantino Grow with Me Activity Mat & Ball gym.  I like that the Infantino one because it looks like we will be able to use for a long time.  Would you keep all three or would return one or two?

Trying to figure out storage space and organize everything today!

Thanks for your help!!

Re: Do I need both?

  • I think a bouncer and RNP are two different things serving different purposes, so yes I would keep those two.  As to how much you'll use a PNP, I can't say.  We used it with our son a lot for travel and to bring to relatives houses.  Plus you'll be able to use it way longer than a RNP. If it were me, I'd keep all three.

As far as the mats, you probably only need one.  My son hated his and we ended up never using it.  I am interested in trying the piano kick one though.

  • We used the RNP for DD to sleep at night, the bouncer to move around the house (I would use it in the bathroom when I would shower) and we used the PNP when she was older and for traveling. You definitely don't need all three, but for me they were nice to have because I used them all for different purposes.

You probably don't need all 3 of the activity mats. The only one I have any experience with is the Fisher Price Kick 'n Play Piano. DD LOVED it, as do most babies that I know.

  • DH and I LOVE the piano mat and will probably be getting it, especially since it can grow with LO (us being music majors help also).  Maybe keep that one and the Infantino (since you really like it) and leave one at a relatives house?

  • sopsongbird - good idea about keeping one of the activity mats at MIL's house!  I'm sure he will spending a lot of time there!  I'm not sure why I didn't think of that!  : )
  • We have a rock n play, pack n play and a bouncer. We used all three at various points for various things. I'd say keep all three.

  • I would say keep everything except for the play mats. I would think 1 mat would be all you need.
  • I don't know much about the other two mats, but I know the kick n' play piano mat was a favorite in my Aug' 11 group.  We don't have it, but after all the rave reviews I almost considered buying one this time.

We never used our bouncer. The RNP is very easy too move around without without baby in it. If I kept one it would be that one.
Keep the piano and return the rest. It will 100% get the most use for the longest time.

  • At my shower I got 2 piano kick mats, I'm keeping one and leaving the other at my moms house. Also, I got 3 of another mat.. I'm keeping one, leaving one at my MIL's house, and then also re-gifting the other to my friend who is due in August.
