Updates: Not much. I have my GTT on Wednesday so I'm hoping I pass and don't have to do the icky 3-hour. :P

How are you feeling? Feeling good!

QOTW: In honor of Easter, tell us how you really feel. Cadbury Creme Eggs: gooey deliciousness or nastiness hidden in chocolate? Gooey deliciousness, although I like to put them in the freezer and then eat them!

Updates: still pg and waiting for 1st appt

Feeling: Anxious. I keep waiting to discover I lost this baby too. I really don't have many symptoms right now, which is not helping my mental state.

QOTW: I like to eat 1 or 2 a season. They are amazing, but I can only handle so many.

Updates: Had my A/S on Monday and baby boy looked great. Everything was perfect which was a huge relief! On 4/22 I have just a normal monthly OB appointment. Time feels like it is really going by quickly now!

How are you feeling? I'm feeling great. Just tired by 9 pm but other than that great. And heartburn has been striking quite often.

QOTW: In honor of Easter, tell us how you really feel. Cadbury Creme Eggs: gooey deliciousness or nastiness hidden in chocolate? Honestly I have never had one!

Hang in there first tri ladies! The early weeks are definitely the hardest! Sending hugs your way!

Updates: First ultrasound this week at 6w5d showed baby measuring right on track and a heartbeat of 137 bpm!

How are you feeling? Happy, after the good ultrasound. Nausea is starting to creep in if I don't eat constantly.

QOTW: In honor of Easter, tell us how you really feel. Cadbury Creme Eggs: gooey deliciousness or nastiness hidden in chocolate? Nasty nasty nasty. But I also think that milk chocolate isn't real chocolate. I'm a dark chocolate girl.

    Updates:
Had another boring appointment with the OB, which is awesome. I visited with a different doc in the practice. I am hoping to meet at least a few of them, in case my regular OB is not the one to deliver.

I lost a pound, so that's a bit frustrating (I have gained weight overall, though!). I need to keep eating some extra healthy snacks.

    How are you feeling?
I feel good, and I am just enjoying that for now. It is getting slightly harder to move around, though.

QOTW: In honor of Easter, tell us how you really feel. Cadbury Creme Eggs: gooey deliciousness or nastiness hidden in chocolate?
They always sound so good, but end up being too sweet for me.

  • Things have been crazy with trying to work as much as possible before the baby comes (ah, the joys of self-employment & no paid maternity leave!), so I miss checking in with everyone!! Great to see so many are doing well. :)

    Week/fruit/EDD: 31 weeks / June 20

    Team: Boy!

Updates: In an uneventful time of pregnancy - went on a hospital tour (CRAZY), just trying to finish up tons of work. Baby is moving non-stop. My son is still incredibly excited to be a big brother - he is by far the best part of this pregnancy!

How are you feeling? Giant. Overwhelmed. Emotional. Excited. Wanting time to slow down! I feel like this first part of pregnancy was a different pregnancy - I was so scared all the time. Now I feel much more like a baby is coming - and am not quite ready for it!

QOTW: In honor of Easter, tell us how you really feel. Cadbury Creme Eggs: gooey deliciousness or nastiness hidden in chocolate? Um, both? I can only handle a little bit at a time. But I rarely say no to sugar. ;)

I have been trying to wrap my brain around the same dilemma, as I also am self-employed. What's your plan? I am looking for ideas.

  • Hi @LeaLupins‌ and ladies! After an induction last week at 41w+1, I have my  little girl! Nursing her as I type! She was born on 4/12 at 5pm. She is wonderful but it's been some work getting into a schedule and breastfeeding had a rocky start. We're doing well though. Best wishes to you all and thanks for leading a great check in, ll!
Yay, congrats!! The first few weeks with breastfeeding are the worst...glad to hear you're doing well now! :)

I have been trying to wrap my brain around the same dilemma, as I also am self-employed. What's your plan? I am looking for ideas.

My plan is to say yes to more projects (I am a website & graphic designer) for the months before the baby comes so I can earn more than usual. Then I'm planning to take 2 months off from client work (though I may start with a regular client a few weeks later for extra money and because it's only about 25 a month max - a good way to keep my brain a little sharp).

It sort of scares me to not have work set up for post August, though! I'll just have to hope I get some inquiries while I'm out that are willing to wait until then!

    It's so tricky to navigate!
