Hormone transfer?

So in my TTT I joked about asking C if she had been using my Endometrin because she was extra touchy. She has been tonight as well. When I'm not on BC pills or fertility meds, our cycles sync right up. Do you think there is any transfer of my progesterone hormones to her? Also wondering if anyone else has experienced this? There definitely could be all sorts of explanations. I know that hormones and pheromones are powerful things. Thank goodness I haven't had a ton of irritability or our house would probably be a war zone. All I could do was laugh at her tonight, which turned out ok because she ended up laughing as well. What a ride this all is!

K and I have never sync'd up (probably because I always had extra short, odd cycles) and I didn't have much of an issue with being extra hormonal from progesterone but there is definitely a difference since I got pregnant. I think those pregnancy hormones are powerful enough to cause major transfer issues. So I have my fingers crossed that C's hormonal experiences are a good sign for this cycle!

I mentioned in my TTT last week that I feel like I have been hormonally emotional for weeks now and I blame M's pregnancy hormones.

A is the same way! We swear she is more emotional than usual... And has been short at times. It's super fun! Luckily we had the pleasure of quitting smoking together four years ago so we certainly know now to handle each other's irrational anger fits!

I agree, it can happen!  Now that I'm BF'ing, she's eating some extra calories too!  Ha.

Glad to know I'm not alone! This might also explain why she is exhausted lately.

Now she is wondering if that is also why she has been so hungry as well. It looks like she has most of the side effects. Mine really have only been sore boobs (manageable) and heavy cramping with some bloating.

Oh yes - I totally agree with everyone on this one! J and I have always had the kind of relationship where we feed off of each other emotionally (good and bad), and our cycles were always very in sync pre-TTC. I think TTC and pregnancy has thrown her for a but of a loop emotionally, and her cycles have even been a little less regular and predictable since I have been pregnant. I think it is a combo of shared hormones and stress, but I think there is something very real about two women in a relationship being connected at that level that the hormonal surges of one will rub off on the other. I find it to be cool, kind of romantic and kind of scary all at the same time!

I will agree with what @doodah1013 has said...I'm feeling some symptoms. I was talking with a friend of ours the other day about inducing lactation and she said when her partner was pregnant she noticed a lot of hormones and a huge surge in breast milk (she was still bfing their middle child). So crazy!

Okay... It definitely can happen. L would kill me if I shared this with people IRL, but since we are pretty open on this forum, I can share with you guys. When I had Oliver L started having nipple discharge. (Not milk lactation but green nipple discharge). After a full work up blood, X-rays, mammogram the only explanation is that she had a hormonal shift when Oliver was born that caused the discharge. Crazy how in tune we can be with our partners and babies wether they are biologically related or not.

I have shared all of these stories with C and now she says we need to start spending time apart . Of course she isn't serious. The power of hormones amazes me! I have told a few friends and I don't think they would have believed me if I didn't have you all to back me up on it. This could be a research project in the making.
