PLUS size bra help!!!!

We're 5+ months in and I hate every nursing bra situation. I went up 3 sizes and I can't imagine making it through the summer like this.
I'm a 42 g/h

I have an elomi underwire that makes me presentable, but is it very comfortable and doesn't fit terribly well. The elomi wireless one I have is super in comfortable and doesn't seperate the girls at all.

Mostly at home I wear the bravado basic from target. It's really unflattering, but it works at home. However in the summer I think it will be awful.

The hotmilk tanks I loved before dd was born are way to small for the boobs now. I just tried an Anita bra and the bravado plus size sports bra version, both were failures.

What are plus size women wearing that ales them to leave the house and be presentable, functional, and moderately comfortable??? Please help!!!

Did you get fitted?  I went to Nordstrom and got fitted (38 H over here; I nearly died, and never would have bought that size on my own - the band would have been bigger and the cup smaller if I had).  I bought 3 Elomi underwires and had them converted to nursing bras.  They fit properly, so they're not uncomfortable at all, and they keep everything where it's supposed to be, separated, etc.  It wasn't cheap - the bras are expensive, and then Nordstrom charges $16 each to convert, so I spent about $220 total, but it's definitely worth it.

How did they convert them? I'm willing to pay the money I just can't stand my current situation!!! I did get fitted at a local bra shop everyone raves about. I HATE the bras she sold me :-(

Maybe I'll go there this weekend

  • Ha ha!! Good to hear. I'm
    Totally going.

  • I adore my Anita Microfiber bra.  I got it off of Amazon.  I'd get measured at Nordstrom, and then buy your bra elsewhere, that's what I did.  I am a 38G.  I just bought my third Anita - I love them and wanted more colors.

I couple these bras with a undercover mama tank.  I can't stand nursing tanks - they don't hold the girls in, but I wanted some coverage so I can nurse in public without my tummy being bared to the world.  These are fantastic - they attach to your nursing bra, so there is no built in shelf.  You get coverage like a tank, but they are so much more functional and comfortable.

    Good luck!

  • I also had bras converted at Nordstrom. I'm not crazy about the clips though.
