Dairy Queen! I loved having ice cream for dinner 5 nights a week. And that's when I went from 5'9 115 lbs to 130 lbs. and I thought that was chubby. If only my teenage self could see me now...I may have eaten a little healthier , maybe! ;-)

I worked at my dad's law firm in the summers (general office stuff - filing, answering phones). First 'real' job (aka not for family) was when I was a senior in high school. I worked at a sports store.

Besides babysitting my brothers, my first job was as a peer mentor for the ARC in the summers. The ARC provided summer respite care for DD kids while school was out and we would go swimming and bowling and to the movies, etc. I was 13 when I started and did it for 3 summers. Technically I was a volunteer and received a stipend of $3/hr.

My first job was Mom. I had DD at 17. That's still stands as the toughest job I've ever held. I left regular high school to do the independent studies program that allowed me to be home with the baby & still get all my schoolwork done. I even finished school 4.5 months early, got a part-time paying job at Old Navy, & started a full load if classes at the local community college for the Spring semester while all my friends were preparing for graduation festivities. I was lucky to have a supportive family that was willing to help me be successful even though the odds were against me. Now 13 years later I've finished college long ago, worked a full-time job since I was 22, got married, bought a home & was recently promoted to mom of 2 & wouldn't have it any other way. DD will graduate 8th grade in a little over a month as a happy, healthy, amazing
soccer player who also happens to be an honor roll student & that's quite possibly the best paycheck ever.
