Elliott had a rough time sleeping last night, and a rough day today. Currently I'm at the tail end of 3+ hours trying to get him down for the night... What I wouldn't do for a long bath with super smelly bath bombs, and a big gulp filled with cabernet. Serenity now!!

Ellie is nursing for the second time in an hour. Lately I can't get her to nurse for very long in the MOTN. She goes for 10 minutes and is out cold. I swaddle, rock and lay her down. 10 minutes later she's up and wants to eat again. I wish we could get it all done in the first go around.
Here, even though I don't need to be yet. Matthew spend the firstvstretchbin the bassinet (yay! He hadn't dine that for a few nights!) and he started stirring 20 min ago. I got up and ready, trying to avoid the "now I'm awake and starving" scream. But no, false alarm. So now in just chilling, waiting for the real wake up...knowing that as soon as I doze back off, he will start yelling.
Here nursing. We met with a different nurse today and came up with a way better plan for feeding that isn't a hour long, what a relief. So night feedings are a little more doable now. I'm still effing tired though.
Up nursing a second motn feed. We got a good stretch after doing a tub and the 5 s's earlier. Hoping it wasn't just a fluke because I'll do that routine every night. Side note- my right hip has hurt like it needs to pop since delivery. Has this happened to anyone from pushing or something? I can pop it sometimes which makes it feel better but then it happens again.
I am up after a little less than an hour asleep since I pumped. I am attempting to get Eli to eat, but he just keeps gumming his bottle but then gets pissed when I take it away. I am worried he isn't eating enough, I know how much I manage to pump a day and I know how many bottles of formula he gets. The two together just don't seem like enough for him and he should be getting more.
I hate feeling stressed about his weight gain, but after he lost so much after birth and then taking over 3 weeks to get back to birth weight, I am paranoid. He is generally pretty alert and happy when he's awake and he has plenty of wet/dirty diapers so who knows.
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.
Yay! Two good things...M made it to almost 4 1/2 hours for the first time! And we nursed for awhile! Overnight!
The last couple of days, he's actually spending some time on the breast. We are still supplementing, but he's getting less from the bottle and I have some hope now for this relationship. I was ready to throw in the towel and resign myself to 100% bottle feeding with less than half pumped BM. I need some positive steps in this whole thing. Now I'm just hoping my nips don't go back to their super painful state. But, he's BFing again! I could cry.
Up for her second feeding. She fell asleep around 9, woke up at 12 and now again at 3. She's very consistent with every 3 hours! Looks like I'll be up again at 6!
I'm here, sitting in the rocker after putting Sloan back down because I've done this dance three times now and as soon as I settle in bed and turn in monitor she cries.
Here nursing, B finally went to bed at like 11:15 and woke up around 2:45. I'm missing her usual 4-5 hour stretches and praying they make a comeback. She had a pretty sleepy day though so I knew this was coming.
Up with DD. I don't really think I've slept at all tonight. Every time I put DD down she screams and she has spit up on me three times. Tonight we even put the pnp next to the bed so I can reach over and touch her, in hopes that this would help but it hasn't. After this feed I'm about to let her sleep on me even though I still don't sleep well like that.
Here and pumping after nursing. One good thing about pumping after every feed is that the sound of my pump puts LO to sleep, but it really does limit my after feeding snuggles
Welp, B nursed for about 10 minutes and promptly passed out. She woke up briefly after a diaper change and refused the other side, and is now passed out in my lap again.
Up for our first feed (west coast here) after about a 3-4 hour stretch. I baked cookies tonight and have been eating a lot of them. I baked 19, there is like 8 left
Present! Fallyn went almost 5! I need to remind myself to pee prior to milking. She's latched on good and I'm close to peeing my pants!! Eeeeek! Fx I don't and she goes back down for another nice stretch
Well LO wasn't going to allow Mom to be lucky & get 6.5 hours of sleep 2 nights in a row. Here I am nursing after a very yucky diaper & an hour earlier than our usual time. Oh well, sometimes you just got to eat. Hopefully he doesn't stray off our usual schedule much more & zonks after once he's finished so I can at least get a 4 hour stretch.
Yay!! Amelia had a 4oz bottle at 9:15, then we have her 2oz at 11:15 with a diaper change before we went to bed but she maybe only took an ounce..then she's just getting up now at 4:45?!?! Who's my girl letting mommy sleep all night?? Those 5 hours were exactly what I needed after you had a 2 hour wide awake hangout in the motn last night!
First ever 5 hour stretch! To bad it started at 8:30 so I didn't sleep the whole time. Than a 3 hour, hoping for another 3 hours once I am done pumping!
This reflux bullshit keeps waking Cam up. This poor kid can't sleep a significant amount of time unless it's on me, propped up. His rnp makes no difference. He's on Zantac and it hasn't made a difference.
I'm getting almost no sleep and I'm ready to lose my mind. Obviously I'd rather Cam be comfortable...which is why I'm not sleeping.....but there has to be something more I can do to get this kid comfortable. We're calling his pediatrician first thing but I just had to vent....
I'm here! Ally went down around 10 and we just decided to wake her around 4:30. We learned in the hospital that she doesn't like to be woken to feed but she has a growth checkup today and we want to make sure she has maintained since Tuesday. We also want to ask the pedi about waking to feed since she is eating all day long and giving us good stretches at night so far.
She did 20 mins on righty and on 7 on lefty and now is in the middle of a hiccup fit. she gets them frequently. I want to try again on lefty once DH gets them out of her.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
Woohoo to all of you getting good stretches of sleep!!!!!
ETA - reading through all these late night posts really shed light on to how AMAZING we all are!! We'd do anything for our LOs and that love is truly something special!!

I'm back! Had Fallyn almost to sleep. (We were having a great cuddle sesh) and BAM!!! Vomit everywhere! She's all cleaned up and back in the pnp bassinet napping. At least the vomit missed my hair!
I'm up baby girl didn't go to bed until 1 and then was up at 4 ate on both SSides and went to bed at 5 and now we're up again. She cluster fed all evening yesterday! Idk what's up with her. And we still have green poop with consistency varying.
LO and I both fell asleep after one side during her earlier feed. Just woke up to her squirming on my chest at 4am. Going to give her the other side and change her and hopefully we'll both sleep until 8.
We had two great stretches tonight fed on both sides at 8 down at 9 up at 1 so that is like a five he stretch and we slept 4 of it!! Then fed on both sides and she went back down at 2 and we are up at 5. I feel pretty rested!!

Kid just legit head butted me on the mouth. It's no doubt going to leave me with a fat lip. It didn't even phase him...friggin bowling ball head!
