AW- today was my first EDD.

Our first baby's due date was today, and I don't think that anyone knows/remembers except for me.  I'm in a positive, hopeful place now and being pregnant again is helping my outlook, but I'm still sad about it.  I'm happy and grateful for this baby and hope that he or she is our healthy take home baby, but I wanted baby #1 too.  I guess I didn't really expect that anyone would know since only parents and a few friends knew about the pregnancy at all, and H's coping mechanism was to try to move on ASAP and stop thinking about and dwelling on it.  I thought that 1 friend might remember since today is also her child's birthday and I thought that was kind of cool so I had told her that, and she had some losses of her own, so I was thinking maybe she'd at least send a text or something, but nope.

Anyway, I just feel like I want to acknowledge that baby and loss somewhere, and figured you all would understand.  Like I said, I'm in a good place and I've come to terms with the loss, but it still makes me sad.  FX for take home babies for all of us, and sending hugs to anyone else who might be having a tough day today for whatever reason.

Huge hugs to you! I understand what you mean about DH. Mine is the same way and doesn't say much about our losses. We actually found out a week before our first loss date that we were pregnant. It's hard that we are the ones that remember these dates and no one else does!

My DH has the same sort of outlook.  Our baby's EDD just passed, and was actually just a couple of days before my egg retrieval for our new round of IVF.  I hope that the light from your baby's spirit will bring some positive energy to you and your current pregnancy You aren't remembering that little life on your own today

I totally understand. The loss and the EDD milestones are hard. 

My DH doesn't remember the dates, either, so I give him a few days' notice in case I am feeling extra sad on those days.

Thanks so much for the support guys. I just didn't want to let the day go by without acknowledging it, and you're right even if others don't remember the dates, I'll never forget her or those few months. @libby+nate and @jesswein9 I'll keep you in my T&P too as your EDDs come up.

I know I'm a day late, but I also wanted to send ((hugs)). Yesterday was also my EDD and I felt the same way--like I was the only one who remembered. Its true that only those women who have lives through a m/c truly understand how difficult the healing process is.

I am a day late, but wanted to send ((hugs)).  My EDD for my first pregnancy passed during this pregnancy and I was also the only one who remembered it.  I am glad you can acknowledge the day here.  I'm also glad that you are in a good place today.
