sleeping after trauma

LO bonked his head and ended up getting 6 stitches by his eyebrow :( His sleeping pattern has regressed a bit since this incident. We are not sure if it has something to do with all of the trauma, or just normal 22 month old sleep regression. Maybe he shows some signs of separation anxiety, as in we need to be in the room for him to fall asleep for naps and especially at night.

Some possible contributing factors:
Long car rides to ER and Dr. offices
Trauma of actual event where he tripped into the corner of a door
Trauma of getting stitches
Trauma of getting stitches removed

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hey, thank you for the response. How has his booboo been healing? I am sure you were more freaked out over the event like we were here. <hugs>

Did you let him cry it out, or go in, pick him up, just lay there? My DH has resorted to army crawling to get out of the room quietly.
