What are your thoughts on the boy names Jericho and Lincoln, nn Link?

I like both, but I don't like the wresting association.....I do like the Biblical association, for the most part. And I like Link as a nickname for Lincoln.

Lincoln's ok, but I don't get why Jericho is getting popular right now. Sure, it's from the bible, but ... it isn't a good story. Jericho was apparently an awful town and the story ends with it getting destroyed, right? Am I remembering this completely wrong? I understand it may sound good, but not a good association for me.

I know Jericho is a biblical name, but all I think of is Long Island.

Link = a video game character from the very popular Legend of Zelda franchise that many, many future classmates of this child will know about

DS is Lincoln, so I like it if you're intentionally honoring the president. And Jericho is a GP name for me; I like it even though it's the sort of thing I wouldn't usually.

Yes, Jericho was a city destroyed in the Old Testament, but there is also a city of Jericho in the New Testament where Jesus might have preformed some miracles. But....yes, I think the name Jericho would mostly be known from the great city that was destroyed by Joshua in the Battle of Jericho, where only Rahab, the former prostitute, and her family were spared.

Had a little boy in my class named Lincoln and his parents called him Links. I secretly in my head called him Stinkin Lincoln. .... I don't care for either names, sorry.
