If I'm reading the article right it's where it is located in the early stages right? I just skimmed so correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, I didn't know if it was left or right. But it was anterior for DS and posterior for DD.
Are anterior and posterior placentas common, or are we just lucky?
I created the poll because Logan was on the right, and this baby is kicking on the left, but I swear it's a boy. I have felt its a boy since the first few weeks. I'm still calling boy, but it's got me doubting my mommy intuition! Haha
I don't think it is that uncommon. Two of my girlfriends had anterior with both children. I'm starting to feel lots of movement (19 wks today), so we'll see if mine is anterior or not on monday!
Yeah, the article says earlier is better, but at my 9 week US, she said the placenta wasn't formed yet so she couldn't tell where it was going to be. Or maybe she couldn't tell yet. I don't remember when placentas form.
I had anterior for my girl. Not sure where it was for my son, other than not anterior. I remember my son kicking more on the left, while my daughter frequently had her feet on my liver (on the right). That freaking hurt.
Not sure which side but definitely posterior. I felt movement pretty early for a first pregnancy (14 weeks). I did have a low lying placenta up until maybe 35 weeks or so. Though I had a big baby (8 lbs 11 oz) and I am a small person I never once felt her feet in my ribs. Strange.

ETA I'm not sure if that's the most reliable source, but it had the same stats that I found multiple times on google. I didn't want to cite the bump.
No clue where it was for both girls, but it was anterior for DS. Sorry, I'm not much help either.
