longer naps once solids were started?

My daughter takes about five 30 minute naps daily- I would like to consolidate those into 3 longer naps. We will be beginning cereal soon. Did anyone have better luck with naps after they began solids?

Nope, not even a little bit. I'd like my son to consolidate his naps, but since what I want has absolutely no influence at this age I don't waste any energy thinking about it.

ETA: your LO will consolidate naps when she is ready to have more awake time between each nap, not because she is filling up in between them.

Same here. DD1 dropped her late night feeding so she slept from about 8:30-7 when we started solids. She was 6/7 months old. I think this was due to her being developmentally ready to do so rather than her diet. When she hit a growth spurt at 10/11 months, she was back to a middle of the night feeding. She didn't consolidate her naps until 7-8 months (3 60 minute naps). She was down to two naps by 12 months and one nap at 18 months.

Didn't change anything. LO was already consolidating naps before we started on solids. He was already STTN. He still wakes up at night once or twice a week even on days he eats solids.

It won't happen until your LO is ready. It sucks, I know. Get LO used to napping in a stroller or car seat so you can go out and do stuff.
