DD Rash-help (PIP)

This am DD was complaining of itching under her armpit. I looked to find a huge rash. I asked her how long it has been there, she says since she wore her giraffe shirt-which was like 4 days ago. No idea why she didn't tell me...when she wore that shirt she complained that it hurt her armpit-it was a bit tight. I told her to change it but she didn't want to. Now I'm wondering if she just had the rash before she wore the shirt..anyway, anyone have any ideas as to what this is? I don't have work tomorrow so I will probably take her to the dr if it's not gone.

Is the shirt new, or has she worn it before?

My first thought would be heat rash/chafing. Have you put any powder on it?

No, the shirt is not new. But the sleeves went right into where the armpit was and it was a bit tight. Like she probably shouldn't wear it anymore. She hasn't worn it in a long time.

No, just put some Neem lotion on it this am since that is supposed to help sensitive skin.  I don't own powder.  I also thought it looked like heat rash, but the hottest it's been is 75, and it just snowed 3 inches last night, so not sure...

I think corn starch works in a pinch. It's the main ingredient in a lot of body powders now, and it would help the skin not stick to itself if it is a chafing issue.

You can get a heat rash from over dressing. It doesn't just have to be hot weather.

I hope the rash clears up quickly!

(The fact that it bothered her makes me think not hear rash though, since I didn't think that was an itchy rash.)

I took her to the Dr. and she said she thought it looked like eczema, which is what I thought. Gave me a steroid cream to put on it.  She said if it doesn't go away in a week or spreads, to come back. As of this morning it had reduced in size, but was still itchy.
