Returning diapers to Babies R Us

Anyone have experience returning unopened diapers to BRU? I have about 5 months worth of size 1 diapers from my shower to return! I don't have the space to store that many diapers (already have 3 months worth in closets), so I don't want to exchange for another size if posdible. Has anyone returned this many diapers? Did they give you any trouble? Thanks in advance for your input!

Re: Returning diapers to Babies R Us

  • I returned a bunch of newborn size because I received tons, no problem at all since I didn't have the receipts they just loaded the store credit on a gift card for me.

  • Add them to you registry and mark them as purchased then take them back. Sometimes they won't take box sizes they don't sell but target will take just about anything back. You could take the Target GC and save it for buying diapers when you need that size?

  • Walmart will take diapers back without a receipt and just put it on a gift card. I feel like a Walmart or Target gift card would be super practice since you can get anything, baby related or not there. But I've heard that Target is a bit picky about returns without receipts. But I've returned a few packs of diapers to Walmart without receipts already.

  • My BRU is very picky about the whole must have a receipt to return anything rule but if you add them to your registry then mark purchased then they should take them.

  • With my first daughter I took all the pamper diapers back but knew they were from 2 different places but not sure which belonged to which store so they just scanned them and any ones that worked they put on a gift card for me NBD
