Heart racing

Has anyone ever felt heart palpitations during their pregnancy? I feel my heart racing a and I'm just sitting not working out. I heard it could be normal but it's scary especially when it lasts for over an hour.

Yep I get that from time to time :)

Mine usually only last about 10 min though.

  • Palpitations all the time.  It's normal, but if you're worried, call your doctor.

  • I get them too! I'm not too worried about them. But if you feel they are intense enough I would call the dr.
  • At least I'm not alone. They are scary. Ty for feedback
  • Yep, I got them for awhile... Felt like my heart was beating out of my chest while sitting on the couch watching TV. I believe it was mostly 2nd tri. Dont really get them anymore, now I just can't breathe.

I get them, got at echo, and everything is fine. When they come on I sit, drink water and relax. Seems l Ike just something else, but could be worse.
  • Me. My resting heart rate is 130-160. I went to cardiology and had the whole work up. The doc was great and explained how pregnancy can do this.

  • Wow. Ty for info. Going to doc later
  • I had that a bit in first tri.  For me, my heart rate was still a normal BPM, but it FELT more elevated.  I think I was having anxiety attacks (I am prone to them).  But if it is consistently high and worrisome to you, call your doctor!
