Trouble TTC

False Negative?

My husband and I have been TTC for about 4 months now. I'm currently 6 days late for my period and typically have a clockwork 28 day cycle. I have taken 2 different home pregnancy tests 3 days apart and received a negative result both times. I drink A LOT of water, close to a gallon a day, and I'm wondering if that could hinder the results in any way. I'm due for my annual check up anyway and have scheduled that, but the suspense is killing me! We are praying that I'm actually pregnant, but I'm just not sure. Any advice?

  • Your cycle is always regular until it isn't. You probably ovulated later than you think meaning your period will come later. Also, pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, especially if you are "late".

This is the trouble trying to conceive board, meaning that you have been trying over 1 year if you are under 35 or 6 months if you are over 35. 4 months is not very long, be patient and try charting so you know when to expect your period. The trying to get pregnant board can be very helpful with that. Good luck!

    This.
