formula to cow milk

Ok the thing is I'm not super mom and had to formula feed. My question is for all you other moms formula feeding when are you planning to transition to cow milk for your little one?

I'm pretty sure I AM super mom AND I formula feed now.

My dr said to go cold turkey at one year. Just quit buying formula and when you're up give WCM. I guess you could do that or wean slower. N went cold turkey from breast milk to formula fine (wasn't the plan but my whole freezer stash went bad) so we will probably go cold turkey to WCM.

If the only thing that decided if you were super mom was how you fed your child, a lot of great moms would lose the title and lot of undeserving moms would get it.  Don't sell yourself (or other FF moms) short.

We'll start doing a mix in the bottles sometime after 11 months.

I don't think OP is saying anything bad about FF - it sounds like she may feel some guilt about it. Looks like she hasn't lurked enough to know that we don't judge here for that sort of thing. Yeah it's been discussed recently but so are a lot of other topics we cover repetitively.

I didn't mean to come across negatively but I'm not proud of FI just because I had I hopes of BFing and I've gotten a lot of judgment from others about FF. Sorry if I urked you didn't mean to. I didn't realize it had been discussed I'm not on here very often. I will try to go back by thru previous pages next time and not post. Sorry again

Stahp with this. No one minds you posting or reporting a topic, just don't apologize for your choices as a parent, here or in life. I'm sure you have other questions/comments/concerns that we could answer/weigh in on/support, but you got to meet us halfway.

I'm so sorry you have felt judged.  You can do a search for a topic that interests you but many of us don't mind the repeat posts, you just may not get a ton of answers Good luck with everything.

I don't formula feed. I EPed until 8 months and we've been using my frozen stash since. Now, at 10.5 months my stash is running out. I have roughly 1 month of milk left in the freezer. I started doing 1oz whole milk and 5 oz BM yesterday. I will gradually increase to cows milk and decrease to BM. I don't want to have switch LO to formula for a few weeks then switch to cows milk.

Another FF family over here; we just started letting him have whole milk. He is almost 14 months, almost 11 adjusted. And by "just started" I mean he had his first taste about five hours ago.
