Prednisone?

Hello all!    I am not a frequent poster, but I thought I would ask if anyone else was prescribed Prednisone in relation to their HG?  I looked it up online, and it says that it can be harmful to the baby.
This is my third pregnancy with HG, and I have tried Zofran, Reglan and Diclegis this time around, but it's not really helping.   I have a really low BMI in general, but right now it's around 15.4, so I really need to stop losing weight ASAP.

If you have taken this medicine for these reasons, I would love to hear what you think of it!

Sorry for the abbreviation... I have severe Hyperemesis Gravidarum.    Thank you for this info, this certainly makes me feel better about this steroid!   You are completely right, this is a much better source for looking up these medicines vs. my random Google searches!!    Thank you!

Have they tried you on a Zofran pump? I had HG with this pregnancy and the pump was a lifesaver.

I had a Zofran pump with my last pregnancy but didn't have much luck with it. I had lost too much weight by the time we tried it, and it was hitting my muscle tissue and would not dispense the meds correctly. The Zofran is less effective this time around, even though an IV at the hospital I am still getting sick. :S

Lurker here.  I took Prednisone for other reasons through the 1st trimester, aka for the most critical time in development.  There is a slightly increased risk of cleft lip / palate.  It is still quite a low risk. 

There are other implications for baby's endocrine function if taken later in pregnancy.
