This is the weekly June '14 PgAL check-in. This is a place for anyone due June 2014 that has suffered a previous pregnancy loss. PgAL is an exciting but scary place so please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, milestones and vents. Mostly, this check-in is to remind all of us that we are not alone in the journey and to offer support along the way. Check-in is every Saturday.

My house was spotless and dinner was on the table…then all hell broke loose. You’ll have some time when you first bring her home but you will be tired.

Good morning! Sorry I missed last week. I hope you have all been well.

How far along are you? 32 weeks, 4 days

Team / Name? Blue..still undecided

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? We've been buying little things here and there. My shower is today, so I am excited for that!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Feeling okay. I have carpal tunnel currently and makes for a long night of sleeping (or lack their of). I have wrist guards that help, but isn't helping that much. Emotionally I am ok...I keep worrying he will arrive too early. We need him nice and big for surgery.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I'm monitored weekly now, so I had an ultrasound on Thursday to check fluids...All went well. I go back again on Friday for OB and ultrasound. Can't believe we are in the home stretch.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Just worried he will come to early. I want him snug in there for 7 more weeks. I am worried about the first few weeks and what it will all be like.

Any baby awesomeness this week? He's active and I love it!

QOTW – Do you have any furbabies or had furbabies growing up? If you currently have furbabies, how do you think they’ll do around LO? We have two pugs, Milo and Princess. We got Milo when he was 1 and adopted Princess when she was 8. I think they will be great with kids. Princess came from a home with kids. Milo loves to follow them around and get whatever food they have! He has a little time for that tho.

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? Nope but going to do some shoppin this week.
How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
I took my students on a service trip yesterday and I'm pretty swollen from walking. I put my wedding and engagement rings on a necklace BC they don't fit anymore.
Tomorrow I have an appt with my old therapist who I haven't seen in years but the anxiety and other things I've been feeling have gotten a little out of control. A good friend told me I should go now BC she's worried about me getting postpartum. I know it's going to help BC she really is an awesome person to talk to, only part that sucks is she doesn't take my insurance anymore so I have to hit that $200 deductible before they pay out of network. But is rather see her than anyone else so it's more than worth it.

Checkup next week, just the regular two week.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add?
With my last LO, my c section incision didn't heal for 5 months and then the month after I had my gallbladder taken out. I'm praying that this delivery goes smoother. It's on my mind constantly since this will be my third and final baby.
Kind of related to this, I have a question for you girls. My husband is willing to get a vasectomy but my doctor keeps telling me I should tie my tubes since I will be in surgery anyway. What would you do? My worry is that I will have complications from it and that the vasectomy has less side effects and from what I've researched is more effective, meaning less accidental pregnancies afterwards.

Hi everyone. EDD is June 22nd. Thought I had it last time. I've been a stay at home mom now for about 3 years. Happily gave up my career as teacher to do so. Before my son, we were unable to conceive for about 10 years. Didn't think we would get pregnant again after last year but here we are.
At the moment my doc is willing to let me try a vbac but I need to think realistically about the other issues I have (fibroid, hypertension, tying my tubes, and possible post pre eclampsia as I had with the first). I haven't made any set decision yet but waiting a little to see what Ms. Savanah wants to do. Today I'm celebrating my 18th anniversary so I will be out and about enjoying my little family. Have a happy weekend all!

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? We haven't bought anything else recently but got a few more gifts in the mail including a boppy

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically pretty good. Still occasionally get sick but it's soo much better. Emotionally I'm doing great!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Appointment on Monday...getting the Tdap

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm just worried that I won't go into labor on my own or what I might be forced to do a c-section after a certain period of time if I haven't delivered since I'm GBS positive.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Baby is moving around like crazy which is awesome. But my other baby awesomeness is that my nephew was born this week! He's adorable! And I'm so excited this LO will have a cousin close in age to grow up with!

Have two furbabies that I love but are very energetic. We're a little worried about how they'll do with the baby since they're so curious and will probably want to be up in their face all the time. We've done lots of training with them recently and also have a baby doll that cries so we're going to start using that too! I think they'll be ok.

30w2d (it feels absolutely crazy saying that!). Team pink, Camryn.~~~~We got a lot of stuff at the shower this past week, like 40 coworkers all went together and one shopped, got our mattress, changing pad, monitor, bottles and cooler, humidifier, high chair and much much more. A couple coworkers made her hand made blankets which I love!

. It is amazing now that her nursery really looks like a place you would bring a baby home to....kind of overwhelming! This is really happening! ~~~~ Physically much the same, noticing some belly tightness when I work out, not sure if that is just me trying to use muscles that don't fit together anymore or if my body is telling me to slow down. Emotionally totally psyched, so anxious to meet this gorgeous little girl soon! ~~~~ Nothing new appointment wise, 2 more weeks until next with US and then weeklies with NSTs~~~~PGAL: keep having dreams about me delivering at 30 weeks with zero notice, like a sudden breech delivery on a bench at a baseball park. Crazy dreams!~~~~Baby awesomeness, just growing and growing, I can feel parts of her outside which is cool, just wish I knew what I was feeling, butt or head. ~~~GTKY: I'm not big on animals in the house due to allergies, me to dogs, DH to cats. So we currently do not, nor do we ever plan to have pets. Growing up in the country there were lots of strays we would feed and they would become ours, and we had a dog once for about a year until it ran away with its brother who lived next door and some redneck who shoots any dog that came into his yard took them out.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I'm exhausted and back aches. Also started swelling this week. Emotionally not bad.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Growth scan on Monday! Can't wait to see him again. Then my 32 week appointment on Wednesday.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm scared about my RCS. Also it's hitting me I'm going to have 3 soon and how I'm going to juggle it. With two, it's easier for me and my husband to both take one of our sons to do something like dressing/diapering, etc.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, exhausted. I think I would be feeling good if I could just relax when I got home at night, but we are trying to get our house ready to sell. Cleaning and decluttering all the time. Once we get it all ready and house goes on the market it should calm down a little.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Started my weekly nsts and bpps. First one went great.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Just worried about getting her here safely. I still freak out in the middle of the night or whenever I think she hasn't moved in awhile.

Just got done with a trip to ikea with DH and we are slowly piecing together the little things for the nursery.
How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
Feeling great physically, hopefully that will keep up, although I've heard third tri can kick some butt. Emotionally everything's been good too, I know she probably moves enough to be considered normal, but sometimes I get a little nervous.

Tuesday I have a normal ob check up, nothing too exciting.

Last night we went to a concert as the baby was going crazy! I'm guessing she either really liked it, or hated it

We have 3 dogs and one of them is very very attached to me. And pretty much just a little mamas boy. So I'm kind of nervous to see how he reacts. I don't think he'll like not being the center of attention. But I'm sure the other two will be just fine.

29 weeks today

Feeling?: I'm finally able to breathe through my nose!!! I can smell stuff and taste food again.

Appt: Thursday this week, just a routine visit.

PgAl/parenting/labor fears: RCS scheduled for 6/23. I'm hoping since I'm not going to be induced this time that the recovery will be easier. I'm extremely worried about it since I have a toddler to chase...

GTKY: we have 2 dogs. Our vet gave us tips so they were prepared when DS was born. They loved him as a baby and used to sleep by the nursery door or underneath his swing. Since he became mobile they avoid him, unless he's eating. He tries to carry our Yorkie mix like a stuffed animal and he tries to ride our collie mix like a pony. He is a handful!

Buying clothes. Waiting to see what we get at my next shower then we'll finish buying the rest of what we need.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
I seriously feel like this guy is trying to come out. Lots of pressure low. I'll be discussing that with my doctor.

I'm afraid he'll come too early. I'm also afraid that being a mom won't come naturally to me.

We do. We have a 4 year old boxer/mastiff named Leonidas. He should have been 100 lbs but he's 75 and looks like a 6 month old mastiff. He's amazing around my 2 year old niece so I know he'll be awesome around the baby.

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? We haven't bought anything recently. I am excited to get this apartment unpacked so we can start working on Viviana's nursery. Right now it is where all of the boxes live that we haven't gotten around to.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I feel pretty good. I am having little issues here and there, but nothing big. I slept through the night from 11 - 5:45 today without one wake up! Whohoo! Emotionally I'm mainly stressed about getting everything ready before she comes.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? We went on our hospital tour today. We are delivering at a different hospital than we did with Lucia because I'm on different insurance, so it was good to see it and get an idea of things like parking, and how this hospital operates.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Viviana started moving a little less last night - or at least her movements are slower and less strong. I know it's just because she's getting bigger, but it is freaking me out!!

Any baby awesomeness this week? As I was typing about her moving less, she just gave me a bunch of jabs, so that's pretty helpful of her

think they’ll do around LO? We have 2 cats. With Lucia they pretty much made themselves scarce for the first little while, but now they've warmed up to her. One is a little more skittish still, but the other lets her pet him, kiss him, and beep his nose. Here's a gratuitous pic of her beeping his nose when she was little (about 11 months).

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? Got some more hand-me-down baby clothes. Starting to regret that I bought any at all.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Had a stomach flu earlier this week, but it seems to have passed, so at the moment pretty good!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Just had my childbirth refresher course this afternoon! It was a really good course, for DH especially I think, and gave me a lot of confidence in my birth center and myself! Also had a good MW appointment. Baby is head down, measuring exactly on track, and my BP still looks great!

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Nothing new, the childbirth course actually seemed to relieve some of those fears for now.

Any baby awesomeness this week? She's getting so strong! The kicks are really starting to hurt!

QOTW – Do you have any furbabies or had furbabies growing up? If you currently have furbabies, how do you think they’ll do around LO? We had dogs and cats growing up. Currently, we had two cats. These cats were around when DS was born and were never a problem with him (infact, they are even more surprisingly wonderful around a rough toddler) so I'm not worried about them with the new baby at all.

@kimmyberly26‌ - thank you! Florida was great and so warm and sunny. We went to legoland, the beach, disney studios and of course the magic kingdom. I walked for most of it, but by the time I hit the MK I had to use a scooter. The best decision ever! It made the experience so much more enjoyable.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Really hoping this time around will take less time, but also long enough to get to the hospital. First time took 3 days. Also hoping for another vaginal delivery but without an epesiatomy.

Any baby awesomeness this week? We made the flight to and from without going into labor.

@kimmyberly26: Thanks for the encouragement! I do feel a lot better in that regards mainly because my mom surprised me and said that she is hosting a shower for me along with my BFF and her mom. Plus, my coworkers threw a 'mini' shower for me on Thursday (another surprise). I think after all the crap we've been going through, I definitely needed something positive to focus on. (and no updates on the housing or car situation...)

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Had an appointment this past week and everything looks good, Sawyer's hb was 155. I have another appointment in 2 weeks and then starting in May I go to weekly. It's going by so fast!!!

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I had awful anxiety yesterday because she wasn't really moving all day, but she's made up for that today. I'm also having a hard time picturing her actually here and that's pretty scary.

Any baby awesomeness this week? My oldest niece (she's 4) keeps suggesting names (no one in our family knows her name yet) and this weekend came up with Buttercup... I love her little suggestions! (Previously it was Peanut Butter)

QOTW – Do you have any furbabies or had furbabies growing up? If you currently have furbabies, how do you think they’ll do around LO? I always had a dog growing up and currently have 3 small furbabies. I'm a little nervous about introducing the baby to them and the potential for jealousy... but they are loyal and cuddly, so I do think in the end they'll be great with her!

Growing up always had cats. Sometimes 10 at a time!!! Also had horses.

Now I have 2 dogs. Jack Russell 13.5 Bentley, golden retriever 3.5yrs Hogan
3 cats Houdini, Ice Cream aka Munch, and our newest adoptee MK

I have 2 horses BH quarter horse 26, Judy Quarter Horse she will be 28 on the 17. I have had her since she was 3!!!!

I got to hold Evangeline for the first time yesterday and today! It was amazing. I am so in love. She even tried to nurse.

Team / Name? blue- Zachariah Louis (We finally let the name be known to the general public so I can't change my mind....hopefully. It did take forever to agree on this one)

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? I'm on a break from buying anything until the shower. I may look into some furniture though.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Something is always aching it seems. I'm really feeling the limitations pregnancy has given me with the belly, being uncomfortable, and tired. Emotionally I'm feeling calmer, ee got a number of little tasks crossed off our to do list this weekend.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Just got done with Rhogam this weekend and have a checkup on Thursday.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm afraid I won't be able to handle a newborn.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Just kicking away, he's still in there so that is pretty awesome in itself. I like looking down while he is rolling around and seeing my tummy move around.

Currently we have a fairly annoying (but I love her) cat and a mouse. When we move we will be closer to three dogs, all who have been around my niece since she was born and are amazing around babies. I'm concerned about my cat since she likes to get into everything and scratches furniture. We have been spending months trying to break her of this biting/licking habit she has. It's gone from licking and nibbling anytime she is near us to maybe licking 75% of the time and only nibbling occasionally. I did have dogs growing up and was never bothered by them, though I didn't particularly care for them.

I'm starting to think I'm an animal person, but just not a pet person.

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? I just bought LO his name blanket. I looks just like DD but in blue. I think the last big purchase I need to make is a new monitor. I am looking at the ones that can view more than one room.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I am starting to swell at the end of the day. So I am trying to keep my feet up as much as possible during work.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?

Well my Dr appointment last week went great. My belly was measuring 36...so this means another growth scan next week along with the NST. I am planning on packing a snack for that appointment since I just may be there a while.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Well after my appointment last week the fears of going in for a "normal" check up that will result in no heartbeat found is starting to play back in my mind. I am just trying to remind myself that keeping track of these kicks will help ease my mind. But the thought will always be there until he is in my arms.

Any baby awesomeness this week? He is definitely growing and is still active. I just cannot wait to see him and give him so many kisses.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically i'm sore and SO incredibly tired all the time. Emotionally I'm having labor fears.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Wednesday for weekly checkup and growth u/s.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I have a fear of going into labor early and something happening to Abigail.

Any baby awesomeness this week? It is awesome that she is so active but her kicks really hurt and then my stomach is sore to the touch around her usually kicking grounds ... and I have 2 more months or this.

I am nervous how the one with claws will act around her as he is a momma's boy and doesn't like people very much My DH wants to get a dog a couple weeks after Abigail is born to be my extra security while I'm at home. We plan on getting a 2 year old dog who is already house broken.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?

Physically very tired but having a hard time sleeping at night. Sore back by the end of the work day as well but pretty par for the course I think. Emotionally doing well, getting excited to meet my little monkey girl and happy for some nicer weather finally.

Definitely some labour fears, mostly about when she will come. I really want her to stay in and not come early. Getting a bit freaked about the recovery after, the memories are rushing back at this point but all in all its nothing I can't handle

Still lots of movement, my evening entertainment is watching TV while I watch the belly move around, she gets super active every night around 9 pm before I go to bed while I am relaxing after DS is done bath and bedtime routine and I love it.

I had dogs growing up and we currently have an amazing Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He was perfect when DS came home from the hospital and they are now best buddies so I do not anticipate any issues this time around. He is already extra protective of me lately as the belly grows, he knows whats up lol

Got the courage to buy anything yet / What gear are you excited about? Bought all of his bedding the other day - and paint for his room. We just have to move the desk out then it's time for painint. Maybe tonight

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically i'm alright... lots of braxton hicks

Emptionally i'm a mess. My best friend just lost her baby on Sunday (she was 24 weeks) because of the same syndrome i have so it's litteraly scared me BSC. I try to take comfort in the fact that he's a big boy and if he had to come early he'll be okay. BTW the syndrome is HELLP - it's in the same family as Pre-E and it's were your platelt levels get to low.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? More blood work today- it'll be my weekly routine until connor gets here. As loong as my count stays above 1,000 we get to keep cooking. Last week i was at 1,115 - so fingers crossed i didn't drop to much this week .

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Him comming to early or with complications is my big fear.

Any baby awesomeness this week? He's really active lately which is helping me stay calm -- well sorta calm. It's also finally time to start transitioning my workload to my backup so i'm all excited . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

@kimmyberly26‌ I had a set back last week with being in the hospital and losing a ton of blood, so as far as pumping goes, I'm just getting back to where I was prior to being in the hospital. I'm hoping now that I'm starting to feel better, my milk will start to come in more. I've only tried Sam Adams cherry wheat, which was awful! But a few of the girls in another thread recommended Blue Moon with orange slices, so I'm gonna try that!!
