Anyone using Eucerin original cream (tub) for newborn?

Hi...so today I asked my doc about our 2 month old's dry flaky face ( red too) and he suggested eucerin tub cream THAT has a blue cap. Now I came home to do my research and cannot find any blue cap tubs all I see is aquaphor and I am sure that is not the one. Is he talking about white cap original tub? Also can I use the non- baby version or do I have to go for their baby line? Plz help ASAP ..DD all itchy flaky and red bumped.

I immediately thought of Aquaphor when you mentioned the blue cap. We've used that with DS since he was a NB, we love it.

Im glad someone replied . Isn't that greasy and our daughter rubs it off with her hand and in goes into her mouth.. Scary!! And how often do you apply? Shez soooo flaky on her eyelids too.

It's more like an ointment. So yes, it feels greasy because it doesn't absorb quickly like a cream or lotion. However it's my go-to product for DS, he has really bad eczema. 

How often I apply depends on the condition of the skin. Sometimes it's worse than others. When his skin is acting up, I would put some on at every diaper change when he was in diapers. Now I just keep a bottle around and put it one as often as I think of it. 

Have you tried coconut oil? DD has really dry skin/eczema too, and I have been using coconut oil a lot with her as well. I put that on everywhere at most diaper changes and I use the Aquaphor on the eczema patches.

I am kinda scared about using oils on her since she was allergic to olive oil( tried to give her a massage and she broke out bad) . Do you have a brand that you can suggest for the coconut oil...my mom was talking about it as well?

I just buy an organic coconut oil. I think I bought it from Costco.

We use plain Vaseline for any dry skin. It generally clears it up in 24 hrs/2-4 applications.

Have you checked out the Earth Mama Angel Baby line? Their products are really good, really clean and they all have a low EWG score. I use their products on LO daily.

Another line of products, this one is all natural and aloe based, is L'Bri. This is the line of facial products I use for myself. When my LO had a terrible drool rash, aquaphor and hydrocortisone didn't make a dent. I put a little L'Bri cream on it and it looked better the next day. The only problem with this line is you have to order from a consultant. GL!

I would love to try angel baby lotion ....omg !! My house is so full of products now....aveeno baby , Burt's bees baby... Aquaphor ...I wish my daughter wasn't this sensitive. Now a new addition ... EMAB!!
