2) What does the last text message you received from someone say? Care to explain? Yeah 9:10 2nd period - My DS and the time he got to school and what period he made it to.

1) If your child(ren) are old enough to be afraid of monsters, are they? What 'monster' are they afraid of?  He used to be afraid of Aliens. 

2) Is there a nightly ritual to get 'rid' of the monsters.  If older, when they were young? I used to have to walk through the house and look outside.  He was convinced one night the Aliens were walking around on the roof! 

3) Will you tell them stories of 'monsters', if you were told as 'monsters' as kids? 

I did tell him of the stuff I was told like the boogeyman and La Llorona but he was much older.  I told him how my parents scared me with the boogeyman would turn us into mice if we didn't go to sleep.  My grandma used to tell us La Llorona would come and get us when we cried, and take us away.  Awesome! I told him when he was past getting scared of that stuff though.

My mom and I are throwing my sister a housewarming party. Other than that still packing preparing to move.

Monsters

DS is too young to really think about that, I think.  I don't really believe in instilling fear in children for fun, so I won't be telling him monster or scary stories.  I know, I'm boring like that.  But I don't watch scary movies either and it really bugs me around halloween when the TV is on and commercials show scary images in the middle of the day or while we're watching a family friendly program.  

Weekend Plans

Nothing specific.  I may go over to my mom's on Saturday morning to pick something up, so I'll probably stay for a short visit if I do.

2) Is there a nightly ritual to get 'rid' of the monsters.  If older, when they were young? She insists on watching Monster's Inc... (wth right?)

3) Will you tell them stories of 'monsters', if you were told as 'monsters' as kids?  I never introduced them with stories, I hated being told the boogy man would get me, and after like 2 years of Monster's Inc, she was suddenly afraid of Monsters in her room at night

ETA these... nothing really, which is probably why I forgot to even mention it. DD has a soccer game in the morning, but DH works all weekend, so it will be pretty mellow yellow at our place

Last text I received, "Here all safe. Leaving phone in car. I love you! " hubs got to physical therapy ok and wanted to let me know he wouldn't be answering.
Rileigh is scared if fuzzies. She screams and calls them bugs and runs for cover. Meanwhile, she loves ghosts, laughs at vampires and what nots (I don't let her see scary ones, cartoon types).
No night time monster be gone ritual.
I'll tell her monster stories when se gets older... I was off the leash for stuff like that, parents divorced when I was a kid and I watched horror movies all day...
Weekend plans- transfer and sit on my butt and see mean girls for the first time!

1) If your child(ren) are old enough to be afraid of monsters, are they? What 'monster' are they afraid of?  No, but my effing grandparents keep telling her the Boogey Man is gonna get hurt. That shit is so annoying, why give a kid anxiety for no reason? 

2) Is there a nightly ritual to get 'rid' of the monsters.  If older, when they were young? Her night ritual is staying up all night talking to her stuffed frog.

3) Will you tell them stories of 'monsters', if you were told as 'monsters' as kids?  Probably not. I am not creative.
