Testing at 3days and 21 day question?

Hi ladies,

My OBGYN would like me to get the blood test at 3 days and 21 days.   Question, I started spotting Tuesday and Wed but didn't have an actual flow until yesterday.  I think I should could Saturday as my 3rd day but you do think it would have been yesterday?  Don't want to go get blood on the wrong day.

1.  Day 1 is full flow ( my RE says before 5pm but some differ on the time)  So yes Saturday should be day 3 for you.

2. Progesterone testing should be done 7 days past ovulation. Your OBGYN is using CD14 as your ovulation day.  If you ovulate before or after that your CD21 results aren't worth much at all. So if you ovulate on a day other than CD14 talk to your doctor about the validity of the test.

Thank you @ksgsmu, I normally never Ovulate on Day 14 according to my OPK's so would you suggest going 7 days after the positive OPK and not day 21?

I am trying to do these tests through my OBGYN before going to an RE because RE's aren't covered under my insurance.

you need to talk to your doctor ( a positve opk doesn't mean you ovulate on that day or at all for that matter) REsearch day 21 testing on the bump boards and you will get more info

I understand about being OOP... make sure your insurance will cover your testing even with your OBGYN... mine did not.  Some of the tests weren't done correctly ( wrong day) and I had to have the rerun...so out even more money!
