Not sure if this is normal or flameful but I usually don't go get my kid in the morning until he's super noisy. He's been talking in his crib for at least 30 minutes and I'm laying here reading TB and catching up on emails. Crap now I feel guilty and I'll go get him.
I finally bought dry shampoo and it's amazing. I may never wash my hair again. Ok that's an exaggeration but I did go much longer than acceptable between washes (for my type of hair). I'm afraid if I don't wash my hair I'll skip more showers than acceptable too.
I'm the worst bridesmaid. Im in a wedding next Friday and I still am keeping my FX it gets called off. I'm over it. FTR, the groom has called it off several times already.

Eek (to the groom calling off the wedding)! Is this wedding the one you just had the bachelorette party for?

Yep. He called it off earlier that week too. Or said she did. Either way it needs to be over. I'm just afraid I'll be rolling my eyes in all the photos

We do this too. If we go get him right when he wakes up, he's a giant crab ass... he needs his alone time to get acclimated to the day I guess. He's been up since 6, just a-chattin' and a-bangin' around. Sometimes if we go in too early he will say 'noooooo' when we come in, so I don't feel so bad.

Since being a SAHM I've found that my hair doesn't get nearly as oily between washes anymore. I don't shower everyday like I used to and my hair has adjusted to that.

What kind did you get? I typically only use the Bix Sexy brand, but I got the Dove brand the other day and it is surprisingly great! the Herbal Essence and Tresemme ones SUCK.

Bastite for blondes. It had the best reviews on Amazon and then I found it at TJ Maxx for $5.99! I think it was only like $7 on amazon too. It's really magical for that price.

I don't either. We also let DS1 roam the house for a good 1/2 an hour before we get up and figure out what he's doing. Though honestly he's usually in and out of our room every 5 minutes anyway, so we know what he's up to.

Save your money and use baby powder. Works wonders!!!
My Friday confession (because I don't think it's flameful): my boss is out this afternoon and gone for a week, so I don't plan on being as productive today.
And there are 3 days next week where she is gone as well as her boss. I think I may be more excited than they are.
I, too, let the kid chill before "welcoming her to the world" (as DH says). I wish my house would allow me this buffer too.
My confessions:
1. Since my obsession with twerking, I've found myself humping random stuff around the house. A couple days ago it was the counter top. I'd have been mortified if DH came in and saw me.
2. I sabotage my weight losses. Every time I lose a few pounds I feel better and go back to normal bullshit eating. Not much of a confession, but damn it's hard.
3. I cannot handle others' illnesses or losses. I don't know what to say and then it stays of my mind so much that I can't sleep and feel like a horrible person.

I did that before I bought dry shampoo. This is so much easier and works 10x better IMO. I'm a convert!

That doesn't bode well for a long, happy marriage.
I haven't even thought about what my kids are wearing for Easter.
I may buy a couple polo shirts next weekend, otherwise the little man is wearing some old shirt of his brothers and big kid is wearing a polo from last summer. Luckily they mostly fit him.
I ignored DS for what felt like an eternity this morning but was really probably only 5-10 minutes. He was whining/yelling about not being able to find a shirt to wear -- after he had loudly declared he didn't like what I picked out for him. So I ignored his ranting until he came in and talked nicely.
I don't care if my 4 year old goes to daycare mismatched or in a shirt that is too small for him. As long as it's weather appropriate, it's not worth the fight. (If he lets me pick out his clothes, he looks cute, but if he picks them on his own, I just don't care enough)

Umm you have NO idea. The worst part is she "hates" his kids. And he has them every other week.

That's pretty much what the Super a Nanny recommends to do. Sounds like you're right on!
I'm really annoyed by people who complain about what other people post on Facebook. Multiple statuses about how annoying all the pictures of people's kids, food pictures and check ins at the gym are much more obnoxious. Not to mention, who appointed them the Facebook police? Don't like it? Unfriend them or hide them.

I used to use baby powder but dry shampoo is far superior. Not even in the same league.
This. Plus, I can't stand the way baby powder smells. Not to mention it makes my scalp white.
We usually wait a little while to get B too. Otherwise he gets so cranky. That's one of the main reason we ended up getting a video monitor at 18 months. He'd talk and gabber but not be awake when we'd go to get him out.
I ate some chocolate trail mix last night before supper. One of the chocolate chips must have fell down my shirt but I didn't really notice. I had already put my comfy pants/tshirt on and went to the bathroom after dinner. I was waiting for my period to start. I had a big "stain" on the top band of my pants and underwear. I was so confused. Then I looked and my navel was filled with something. It took me far too long to realize the whole thing was caused by the rogue chocolate chip. I couldn't help but laugh.

That's what I use too! I like to use it between highlights, because it softens the darkness of my roots.
I'm wearing pantyhose today. Under a maxi skirt. With deodarant on my thighs.
Get the Monistat chafing gel. It's so great especially when PG. And it doubles as foundation primer!
Body Glide. I use it every day in the summer.

We wait to get LO until she is standing and calling for us. She plays and talks to her stuffed animals. If we get her durin that time, she is a whiney mess!! She needs time to wake up.

YES! I haven't read anything by Super Nanny, but this is validating, ha.

This sounds like us. I just want him dressed. I can't fight about what he puts on. Same goes for hair. Some days he wants me to comb it; others he runs away. Whatever dude, have bed head.
It is 9 am and I am thinking about eating a chocolate peanut butter egg. Doesn't look good for rest of the day and my weight loss plan.
My colleague made chocolate chip cookies. It would have been impolite for me to decline one. Have one egg then eat healthy foods the rest of the day. One won't hurt you!

I need time to wake up. I wish just one day I would get it.

I didn't know Super Nanny recommended it either. But I do this too. I tell him that I won't talk to him until he can calm down and stop whining. The whining drives me crazy.
I feel guilty when I take my dog for a walk and he pees on a neighbors lawn. Maybe it's dumb I feel guilty, because most of our neighbors are dog owners too, but people really care about their lawns around here. The dog doesn't pee on every tree he passes because he was neutered before he started doing that, but that means if he does have to pee on someone's lawn, he pees out a LOT of liquid.

I blew a gasket at the ER doctors and nurses yesterday and I am not sorry.
FiL got diagnosed with congestive heart failure and they keep sending him home and try an outpatient program. Except, it got worse every time. 6 chest X-rays later in two weeks we took him in and get a 'he looks healthy enough' from nurse ratcunt at the triage desk. Yeah, except it's not about looks.
Well, 7 hours later I grabbed the oxygen monitor and clipped it on him when he came back from the washroom. 76% brought them in there quickly. And the first thing they said 'he needs to be admitted'. No shit. Fucking cheap healthcare. So sick of this crap.

I also leave Nola in her room for a while when she wakes up. Everyone needs some time to just be awake for a little bit it in the morning.
I see that strictly as a win!
