When we bought this place I should have thought about how one day I'd have a baby, and that said baby would be sleeping in the room that shares a wall with the bathroom, during the time that I normally shower. I can creep around this house like a cat if need be, but I can't make the shower quieter.

It usually doesn't bother him but his sleep has been so horrible lately that I'm seriously considering a whore's bath, some dry shampoo and a ponytail in the morning lol

We bought the house after she was born, but also didn't consider the fact that her room shares a wall with the bathroom. DH showers in the basement every morning, but when I go back to work in the fall I will not be doing that. I guess she'll just wake up! Next house I will consider this.

  • He has white noise. It's normally not an issue, especially if I shower at night but a morning shower is always more disruptive to him.
  • We bought while I was pregnant with DS. He shares a wall with the bathroom too, but that was our only option for him. We searched so long for a house, this one is perfect! I do a lot less toilet flushing when baby is sleeping!!!

I do wish that the floors were less squeaky though!

  • I feel ya! We live in a railroad style apartment and his room is smack in the middle (between the kitchen&bathroom and the bedroom&livingroom!)

  • We're thinking of buying a house (we're in a condo currently) and I will be analyzing floor plans carefully lol
  • I'm not sure there is a perfect floor plan.  Just doesn't exist!  I'm sure I can find a downfall in any one you throw at me.
