Trouble TTC

Lovenox just for BCP?

I just got a voicemail from my RE's nurse that I have the choice to wait another cycle longer to do my HSG, or they can put me on BCP after my CD3 bloodwork on Saturday, but that they would require me to give myself lovenox injections every day due to my weight and history of hypertension. I'm a nurse, and I'm really annoyed about this requirement. I was on BCP for 13 years with no problems, one month just to get this test done shouldn't be a problem.

I can't talk to anyone until tomorrow, but I don't want to delay getting this test done, but lovenox just seems like overkill. I am feeling like an asshole for thinking about telling him sure, I'll do it and then just not fill the script. :(

Re: Lovenox just for BCP?

  • I really don't have any input for you.  It seems like overkill to me too, but I am def. not a nurse (I only do authorizations for the drug).  Good Luck!
    Ba hahahaha!

  • I think it's silly, but I decided I don't want to push it, I want to get this test over with. My insurance covers it, so instead of $1300, I'll only pay $50.

I was just really angry last night about it. Now I figure it will just be practice for if we move on to injectables.
