Anyone have anything good today?

Mine is lame, and I'm guessing not all that unpopular. I hate going to children's birthday parties. Maybe it's just the way my friends do them but they are ridiculously over the top. I don't want to give up my afternoon to see 80 other people chase their kids around, hear the inevitable cries of pain after someone gets hurt in the bounce house, watch some ill-mannered toddler yank the dog's tail, etc. Most of the time I get an invite I just mail a gift. Maybe that's antisocial but I don't care.

Maybe my UO to spin off of this: if your child's birthday party doesn't have booze for the adults it is officially the WORST.

My mom had a rule that we only got a birthday party every other year. I remember thinking it was so unfair. I guess we still need to decide what our birthday party rules are for my kids.

I have to admit that I like the parties you see on Pinterest (I think they're pretty!) and would want to throw one just for the fun of it, but regularly? No thanks. That seems like a nightmare.

My unpopular opinion is that I think mini skirts/dresses on grown women looks like they shop in the little girls' section. Can you please just wear a dress that flatters your body (i.e. knee length or longer) and cover up your hoo-ha?

I think Jeopardy is the best game show ever. I even use up valuable space on my DVR to record it. Then I binge watch all the episodes at once.

I love Jeopardy. Once upon a time when we were young whippersnappers, DH, his college roommates and I made a drinking game out of answering the questions.

I haven't seen 'Frozen' but I finally heard 'Let it Go' on my Disney Pandora station, and, I don't get the hype. The vocals were less than impressive, and I didn't even think the song itself was that good.

Who's version was it though??? Demi's isn't as good as the character.

This might be more of a confession. I don't like the character's singing voice. It distracted me so much the first time I watched the movie. I thought it was a major casting fail. I got used to it sometime in the 392 times I've rewatched the movie. (DD2 is even watching it right now.)
