Re: ~*PGAL Check-In*~
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Physically: Last week my back was doing ok until I tried going through the mountain of stuff we got. I did too much bending, no good. Emotionally, starting to get some anxiety back lately. Not sure why. I mean yeah a baby is on the way, but I feel pretty on track with what we need to get done.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? Check up on Monday.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? Apples: had an awesome baby shower! We only need to make a few slightly big purchases. But the major stuff is done! Onions: OB ran a blood test for my thyroid function last week. Been having some symptoms that started to worry me when they happen all together (racing heart, dizzy, weak, extreme fatigue, and the kicker was seeing spark like floaters). Hopefully results are in Monday.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? Well I was working until I told my boss to go shove it. And then my back injury prevented me from really going back... so I'm kind of a SAH-soon-to-be-M. Biggest pet peeve lately would have to be the in laws (right now we live with them until either we move to SC). They've been talking about what furniture and stuff needs to be moved from the nursery and the corner downstairs we're putting a changing table and PNP. Months have gone by and stuff hasn't moved. That's where they said to put all the stuff we got from the shower, so I thought they'd move it before then so we had room. Nope... piled everything on top of the furniture. It's a little table and toy box! It's just bugging me. I'm trying to set up our two little spaces we have for her and I can't do anything until crap gets moved. Ugh.
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Physically I'm feeling good - tired by the end of the school day, but that's to be expected! Emotionally I'm not bad either ... trying to remember I can't control what's happening inside me and the doctors will start weekly non-stress tests in a couple of weeks due to the cord insertion.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? Nothing until next week!
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? Apples - had my baby shower and got a ton of cute stuff! Onions - the dr. thinks I could have a second piece to my placenta, but they will check through ultrasound again in a couple of weeks.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? My biggest pet peeve is someone trying to have a long conversation with you about ridiculous things when you're trying to get things done!
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Starting to feel very sore and tired. My stomach feels so heavy that I'm not even comfortable laying down anymore. Hoping the next few weeks fly by!
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? Ultrasound/growth scan on Friday! Hoping everything still looks great and that she's continuing to grow on track.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? Apple: my coworkers threw me a baby shower today! They got the two big remaining items off my registry. It was so sweet - I'm so blown away!
Onion: I'm really having to slow down at the gym as my pelvis gets very sore afterwards. I hate not being able to keep up but I know it's all for good reason.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? I have a coworker that clears his throat constantly!! He sits right across from me and it drives me nuts. He also pops his head over the cube wall to ask me questions without first saying excuse me or asking if I'm busy . So inconsiderate.
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Emotionally, good. Physically, mostly good. Having some major uncomfortable tightening/BH in the evenings, but it is still tolerable.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? I have a routine appt tomorrow, not expecting anything out of the ordinary.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? Tomorrow is my Friday so I am thankful to have a 3-day weekend, however part of the reason I took Friday off is to study for my big exam that I have to take on Saturday (boo). The weather is supposed to be absolutely amazing all weekend as well.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? Probably people who bring offensive smells in the office - whether it be too much cologne/perfume or really stinky food.

How many weeks? 35w
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) physically I hurt all over. Being stuck in this hospital bed isn't really helping as it's super uncomfortable. The nurses brought in an egg crate topper to help and it's a little better, but I'd much rather be home.
Emotionally I think I'm doing ok. Elliott and Ryland's EDD was 4/2 and we spent some time at the cemetery visiting them and looking at the bulbs that came up. It was a hard few days for me around then. I'm still dealing with a lot of guilt.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? I was supposed to have an NST and ultrasound tomorrow, but since I'll still be in L&D won't be doing that.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions?
Well onions is that I'm in the hospital.
Apples: I've almost made it to 36w! So exciting. Babies are doing great and I'm most likely going to be able to go home tomorrow!
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? My biggest pet peeve at work is laziness. People who leave work sitting around because they don't want to deal with it.
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Physically: I've got some major groin pain on my right side. Baby loves hanging out on the right side so I think the strain of the added weight is causing issues. Ice, heat, and movement are helping though. Emotionally: getting excited to meet this little one who has been constantly moving around. And getting super excited for my shower at the end of the month.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? Had my 34 week check up today and all is well. Plus I met with the gestational diabetes team at the hospital where I will deliver if there are any complications and I risk out of the birthing center. I'm doing awesome on my blood sugars!
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? groin pain bad. blood sugars good.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Excuses people make about why work isn't getting done; people who are always in a bad mood; people who use reply-all just to say "thank you" to the original sender.
Welcomed our rainbow baby 5/20/2014! It's a girl!
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) 2 days of work left before I start mat leave and it can not come fast enough. I am so freaking sore. I refuse to let my co-managers see me struggling, so I push even harder. Emotionally, I am in a good place.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? On Tuesday I had another NST. This is the second NST in which there were no skipped heartbeats! I am anxiously waiting until next week's biophysical profile to see if they will confirm the abnormal heartbeat has cleared up! My OB also gave me my prenatal documents - a bit of a "holy crap" moment.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions?
Apples: We finally got our marriage certificate translated into English (we got married in Cuba 2 years ago and certificate was in Spanish) and I changed my name. Onions: None really
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? People who dont enjoy their job and let others know about their discontent on a regular basis.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) It's been a tough week. Had a f/u BPP Tuesday. LO looks good, placenta looks healthy, I'm doing okay; but my fluid is staying low. LO also didn't pass the movement/tone part of the test. Was moving a bunch outside of the 30 minute time frame and is passing kick counts at home. I was pulled from work and put on house/couch arrest.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? I have another BPP Friday. hoping that I'll be given some freedom, but whatever needs to be done to keep this LO baking longer is just fine.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions?
A: all this "excitement" finally got our office moved out and the baby furniture moved in the room by DH
O: aside from the medical concerns, I'm frustrated that I may be burning through my FMLA before baby comes. It just stresses me out having to talk with my employer about extending my leave and if they say no maybe only having limited time home with this baby. I remember feeling no where near ready to go back after 12 weeks home with DD.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? More then a pet peeve probably....I work in a hospital in a different role then others with my same background so I find it extremely irritating when I see patients getting the easiest plan of care instead of the one that would be most beneficial. Do your job, don't be lazy.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Physically, ok. Emotionally, I started fretting over the weekend, because it seemed like movement had decreased. I even called the dr. about it Monday morning to ease my mind. I now realize that it just seems less on the weekends because I'm on my feet and on the go. When I'm stuck at my desk during the work week, I think he is more cramped and I feel him more. I'll TRY to remember that this weekend and not get myself worked up.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? Nothing this week.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? We're finally getting off our asses and making progress toward the nanny decision. I'll be happy to have that locked in.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? My manager is a nice person, but has a lot of irritating traits. We have so many conference calls each week over a variety of subjects/projects. If there is nothing to discuss about the given subject, we'll talk about a different project and then repeat that same discussion on the next 4 conference calls. It is such a waste of time, but it seems like she just can't admit that the calls aren't worth having.

How many weeks? 33
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Good, a little sore when I do too much. Emotionally, good, so ready to meet him (but he better stay put for a while)
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? No, next week we have just another regular appointment.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? Apple: Moving into our new house finally and it's the last week of tax season.
Onion: It's way too crazy with the good things and my back gets sore from being so crazy busy.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? I work for my dad, it's just us so it's not really a work place. I guess with my job it's people who schedule their tax appointment and then when you get there they don't even know where their paperwork is and think they're the only appointment and you can just wait all day for them.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?)
Physically- hurting! BH are bad these days my hips are killing me my back aches just did a pelvic exam this morn so still a bit crampy from that. My feet hurt bad too :-(
Emotionally- I finally had my oh shit this baby will be here soon moment a couple days ago so nervous and excited. :-D so much to still do!
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week?
Had my appt this morn next one is next thurs
What else is going on? Apples and Onions?
Apples- baby is head down with her head firmly againt my cervix. I haven't started dialating yet but I am 80% effaced so dr said the shower on the 26th is a no go. DH is finally off drugs and we are much happier.
Onions- not enjoying the post check bleeding. Its like a light period so not bad just want it and the cramps to stop already. DH was a total Asshole the first 2 days he was back. I gained 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general?
Right now a SAHW bout to be a SAHM :-D so I guess it'd be DH saying I don't do anything all day when I keep the house clean and take care of the farm and all the animals all while being a giant pregnant whale. He claims my chores only take 30 mins when in reality it takes most of the day with breaks.
Ready to get this lil girl out of me but she needs to bake a lil more but she'll come when she is ready :-)
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) Physically - I feel good. I am still working, walking everyday, and back for second 12 week session of prenatal yoga. Any sort of housework that involves bending over is out of the question. My ability to get up from sitting is becoming increasingly difficult without any help. Emotionally - I think this is what people call "nesting"...I am very focused on cleaning, organizing, and preparing the nursery. I had a rough moment yesterday at a work planning meeting. I was unable to volunteer and assist in many things that I would love to have because of maternity leave. I felt bad, but quickly got over it because I am so happy to be growing these two babies.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? Next wednesday doc appointment
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? Apples - It is officially spring! No onions...
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? Or if you are a SAHM, what are your biggest pet peeves in general? Work pet peeves - see above...I hate when people don't volunteer to help and that was me...but I work with so many wonderful people that have picked up a lot of the slack I will be leaving during maternity leave. Also, people that lie and don't do their work. Big egos bother me, too...especially the type that think they should delegate their work to me.
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally?) I feel pretty good this week. My back has been a little sore. I have been paranoid about movement. I keep thinking I don't feel LO, but then he kicks and I feel better.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? I go in on Monday. I want to have another ultrasound so that I can see how big he is and his position.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions? I have been on spring break, which is great. DH and I went away for a night, I had my second baby shower, and the nursery is almost done. It has been a productive and nice week. My only onion is that DH and I had a bad fight this week. It was about a lot of things, but ultimately, it resulted in us talking most of it out. I felt like he wasn't understanding how much my life has changed with pregnancy and how I can't do a lot of things I used to and he said he hadn't really thought about that.
GTKY: What are your biggest work-place pet peeves? I hate lazy teachers. One in our department always ambushes me in the copy room asking to use the assignment in her next class. Uh, no, because that would require you to have read the other 17 chapters of To Kill a Mockingbird. Do you own damn lesson plans!
