Need more absorption!

Hi, My daughter is 18 months and she is soaking through her diapers in under 2 hrs. I use two microfiber inserts and in some a microfiber and a hemp. When we go out for more than a few hours I am starting to put it her in a disposable so I don't have to change her, and her pants are often smelling like pee. Any advice for a good insert/doubler that has better absorption. At the very least I was thinking of picking yup some more hemp doublers on diaper swappers.com Any reason I should be careful buying those used?

We ditched the microfiber around 9 months. We use a small prefold and a hemp babies insert - no leaks unless she's in it for 3+ hours at daycare during naps (which has maybe happened 3 times total).

Yeah microfiber just isn't great. We use bamboo inserts. I know a lot of people use a microfiber and a bamboo insert (not a doubler, an actual insert).

I tend toward bamboo and hemp inserts sometimes with microfiber as the doubler to help with the slower absorption of the hemp

Can you use just bamboo? With the hemp I think you need to use microfiber or something else on top since hemp doesn't absorb fast enough?

Also, i've got a bunch of prefolds but I thought her diaper would get super bulky. I'll give it a try.

I have just used bamboo but my super soaker is a double insert kind of guy regardless of type.

We just use one bamboo a lot of times, but my sister says that's unusual.

I really like small prefolds or flats stuffed in pockets. They wash well and are much more absorbent than microfiber. And they're cheap.
