Pack n Play weight limit

Hey mommas!

Looks like DH, DD and I will be traveling out of state in June. We went last September and borrowed a PNP from a family member. It should sulk be available to use, but I'm pretty sure it has at most a 30 pound weight limit and DD is right around 30 lbs now. Would you use the PNP? If not, what would you do? There's no way DD will sleep in the bed with us...

I've seen toddler air mattresses or how about a cot?  DS sleeps on a cot at daycare.

  • i wouldn't-- DS is only 26 lbs but i'd be worried he'd knock the whole thing over. i would get a toddler cot or airbed as suggested above, or if you're staying at someone's house, maybe just fold up a blanket on the floor to make a little bed for him near wherever you guys are sleeping.
  • Thanks ladies! DD usually goes right to sleep and I don't think we'd have any issue with her trying to get out/tip it, but she's less happy about going to bed when we're somewhere different. I'll talk to DH about it...that inflatable bed looks like it could work. Just worried about her not staying in it!
  • Elijah is 26 lbs and sleeps in a PNP every night (I moved him out of the crib to get him used to the PNP for when Madeleine moves into his room soon, and that transition went quicker and smoother than I expected). He is really strong but is nowhere near being able to knock it over. I also have a 3" PNP mattress in there that he sleeps on. Not practical for travel, but my point is that if she isn't jumping or rocking the bed, she should be fine in the PNP.

  • We bought a cot for DD to use when we travel now. I haven't tried it out yet worried she won't stay on it though!
