My vaginal breech delivery

So my sweet girl was born on the 27th, due date was the 26th. Had my weekly md appt on the 26th and doc told me I was not dilated or anything! Frustrated, we scheduled an induction at 41 weeks. Lo and behold the very next morning the contractions started. Had planned to labor at home and without drugs for as long as possible. However, I was begging for an epidural before they had even gotten an iv in me lol! Got an epidural and later a very small dose if pitocin to get contractions closer together. Hours later while lying in bed water bag ruptured with meconium and I freaked out but doc didn't since baby girl was coming out breech anyway and couldn't swallow it. Finally I was taken to the or to deliver ( hospital policy makes breech vaginals deliver in or in case of emergency c-section). Baby's leg was coming out by the time I got in the stirrups. Not sure how long I pushed for, but out she came with the aid of forceps and a second degree tear! She was 5lbs 3oz of pure beauty and ever since that day has captured my heart completely. Wow, congrats! Yeah- I'm surprised, most hospitals don't even let people deliver breech vaginally!

That's awesome! I am jealous they let you deliver. They didn't discover my baby was breech until they checked me at 9 cm and rushed me to OR for an emergency c section. I was too scared to push for continuing the delivery but I wonder if I should have! So glad everything turned out ok for you both.
