Gas pains hurt like hell!?!?

Sorry if this is a repeat, still new to the site! Anyhow I've been experiencing what I believe are gas pains but it's so sharp I am brought to tears and can hardly breathe. Called doc today they advised I go to labor and delivery if it happens again incase they are contractions . Just really feels like horrible gas. I'm also a vegetarian and eat lots of beans for protein ..... I never had this issue before! Guess just wondering if anyone else gets pains so horrible ? Any vegetarian moms to to be have advice on things to try ? I hate tofu unfortunately! I'm nervous it will happen again I really don't want to go to the hospital only to be told I have gas!! Suprised at how painful it can be !

Aagggg so not fun!!! Yesterday took about four hours of wanting to just scream then it got better ! Hope you feel better soon!

Idk about the vegetarian thing but I' know what you mean about that terrible gas pain! When I was pregnant with DD, I had so much pain while casually walking around downtown that I had to stop and cry. Lol people thought I was in labor so I kept having ppl come over and ask if I was ok.

Dang girl!! I am truly shocked at how bad it hurts! It can hurt when your notpregnant but never ever like this.... At least not for me!!! Not that I wish his upon anyone else it is comforting to know it does hurt that bad for others! Can't wait to be able to have a normal functioning belly again;)

I had these too! They were on my left side. The first one was high up then moved down to about my belly button. Then I had one on Sunday that was high up again. Been okay since but didn't call the doctor.. It felt better when I laid down. I tried everything to relieve gas but the only thing that helped was laying down.

Ugh, yes. Pretty much right after I eat a full meal, I get pains whenever I move. It's like there's not enough room inside me for the baby, the food and the gas! I've never had a contraction, but I really do just feel like the pains I have felt are normal gas pains accentuated by the lack of space, especially based on timing. But yeah, ouch.

Yes, I have been having terrible gas pains for a few days, but I think I know the cause of mine.  DS was sick with a bug last week that caused 3 days of diarrhea.  I think I may be getting his bug
