Those with irritable uterus and no cervical changes - exercise?

I am having tons of BH (4-20 per hour) but my 35 week check showed my cervix is still long and I'm only 1cm dilated. Given this, the MW said the contractions aren't doing much right now. She pretty much left it up to me whether I continue to exercise, though she did say maybe to wait until 36 weeks in case it did start labor. If you're in a similar situation (especially if STM), what are you doing? Resting to lessen the contractions or just living your life?

I get these in clusters on and off  for 1-4 hours and I've just had to increase my water intake to make them stop. I find that the lucky number is usually about 8 glasses of water, but I aim for 10-12. Anything less than 8, evenly spaced throughout the day and I start getting BH.

With exercise, it has gotten more difficult for me and I've had to cut the intensity and frequency. Just doing recumbent exercise bike 2x week for 25-30 minutes on a low setting. I usually feel really good afterwards -- esp my sciatic pain -- but again, needing to increase water intake beforehand to prevent the BHs.
I hear you on the water thing. I am easily downing at 80-100oz daily. It definitely helps, especially in the morning when I wake up dehydrated. Not enough to slow the contractions to less than 6 an hour, though! Part of me thinks that since I'm pretty much having them anyway, I might as well exercise so that I feel (and sleep) better. But I don't want to do anything stupid. I wish the MW had a little more definitive guidance!
