Autism Resources in Birmingham area?

Hi ladies! Not sure if anyone can help. A friend will be moving to the Birmingham area in the coming months. Their son is autistic. They have great services where they live now (I.e. access to hippotherapy, etc.). My friend is hoping she can find the same type of resources, support, etc. Is anyone familiar if those types of resources are available in the Birmingham area? Thanks!!

Re: Autism Resources in Birmingham area?

  • AIDB in talledega used to do equine therapy. They might still do it. There might be someone closer but I'm not sure. She should contact the Alabama Autism Society. The president is local to birmingham they could help point her in the right direction. Good Luck to your friend.
