ANOTHER plug question

I'm a STM and with my first I lost mine two to three days before I went into labour. Is it inevitable that you will loose it before going into labour? Or can you go into labour without having lost it yet? Any personal experiences? Thanks

I lost mine when labour started, but no it's not nessasary to lose it in order for labour to start or progress.

Edited for afterthought: this time I lost a chunk of it at 38 weeks (not the whole thing) but nothing has happened since and she has yet to jail break. Hope that shit hasn't grown back.

I lost mine the night before. I didn't find out until recently (on here) that you can lose it at any time and it's no indication that labor will be soon. Apparently it's another mindfuck. But yes, you can go into labor with never having seeing the thing at all. Just like going into labor without having your waters break.

This whole plug thing is just annoying. I'm tired of always looking in the toilet after I go a million times a day to see if I've finally lost mine. What's worse is that even though I may not loose it until I'm actually in labor as some of you ladies have said, I can't just stop looking now-I'm too close! I'm tired of the mind games!!!

I lost parts of mine on Wednesday more of it Thursday and I had him on Friday at 1:31 am. I was having mild contractions for weeks though

With Skippy, I never saw the mucous plug at all. This time, I started having severe contractions last Tuesday night and the next morning had some major bloody show - like a period - so our doctor checked my cervix and said I had started dilating and the blood was from broken capillaries around my cervix and it was mixing with the mucous plug (the bleeding stopped by supper time). On Friday night I had a small amount of mucous come out, and the rest of it came out on Saturday morning. I've been in prodromal labor since last Tuesday night, and I'm still pregnant, so I don't think losing the mucous plug is a good indicator of labor starting soon.

Lost mine an hour before my water broke this time. Baby boy was born 8 hours later.

I shouldn't of opened this. I have the urge to vomit now, lol. However, as a FTM I'm curious what it looks like vs normal preggo discharge. It's impossible to not look since I use the bathroom hourly. I have 3 weeks left, fun!!! Lol

Am I weird for not being grossed out my the whole MP discussion? Obviously I don't wanna see someone else's but after googling images I'm not all that grossed out not do I think will be if and when I lose mine

Can you still have sex after you loose it? I thought it was some sort of protective barrier.

Same-lost mine last week and didn't care. Honestly a heavy period grosses me out more than box boogers.

Lost mine on Friday and little pieces here and there ever since. No baby yet and it's now my DD! It honestly wasn't even that gross. I was like, that's it?! I was expecting something way grosser. Haha. But I also didn't google any pics because I didn't want to know.... So what I had envisioned was nothing close to what it was.

I think the only time you need to avoid sex is if your water breaks. (I googled this a few days ago because I lost my mp and was wondering as well.)

It doesn't gross me out either. If it's coming out of my own body (and it has been all day) then I'm totally fine with it. But I'd punch someone if they showed me theirs.

Yes. Some people never see theirs because they lose it during labor.

lurking from march board since I've still got an inside baby   anyhoo, the plug isn't a great indication of any real progress. I've lost mine 3 times this pg and it just keeps growing back. talk about false hope!! lost it once at around 38 weeks, then lost it last week, then last night. no labor.
