TMI. I'm going to put this out there.
How common is it to well...ahem....pee one's self? And how much is normal? I've found myself losing more and more control over my bladder with every passing week. At first it would just happen during sneezing and I could help control that by crossing my legs tightly when I felt a sneeze come on. But now I go to the restroom for a normal potty break and find that I may have lost a tiny bit even without realizing it, usually about a quarter size spot on the panties. And I'm sure it's pee, not CM. I have no recollection of how it got there. No sneezes, laughing, etc. I'm sure it's just breech-positioned baby girl dancing around on my bladder, but hoping I can get ahead of this before I find myself thinking my water broke when I really just royally peed my pants. I've heard stories and I know that's a potential reality.
For those of you who have experienced this, how bad did it ultimately end up getting? And what did you do to help yourself? Are poise pads daily about all I can do? Or will I need to resort to full-blown adult diapers at some point? I'm embarrassed and very hygienic about these sorts of things and want to make sure I'm doing all I can do to help this until baby girl gets here in August. Tips? Stories? Feel free to giggle. I'm trying to find the humor in it all and I'm glad I'm even at this point to laugh about!
Re: Let's talk about the peeing of one's pants.
liz4paws I can't really help you because this really isn't happening to me. But I will share that it did happen to me once...a SNISS that is (hahaha "sniss" I can't get over it). Luckily I was at home and only a tiny bit came out, but I was like OH NO I hope this doesn't happen all the time now, as it was pretty early on in my pregnancy. *knock on wood* all has been good since.

It's important to make sure you completely empty your bladder after you go pee. Lift up a little bit, bend forward, just try to get it all out lol.
Also... kegels!
I will fess up to the poise pads. I wear them just in case, because its awful to be trying to get just 5 more minutes in before a pee break and break out into a coughing fit..... That sort of business will leave me crying and ruin my day. A little insurance is good.
That said, I have already informed my partner that I will be getting a bladder lift surgery once this is done!

We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014. Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies. We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.
@ThoseThreeWords - I bought poise but haven't worn them regularly. I guess I'm in denial. I need to start going to SA meetings (snissers anonymous) or something and come to terms with the problem I have! That's it. Tomorrow I vow to start wearing them every day. Glad I'm not alone!!!
@FutureMrsW9 - It's so funny, I've been using the term "sniss" too since I saw it tossed around the Aug14 board a while ago. I use it in regular convo with DH and figured it was just a term everyone knew! There's also barf-iss, cough-iss, laugh-iss....you name it, you can -iss doing pretty much any activity while pregnant.
@Mrs.McIrish - I'm SO afraid of having to figure out the full blown astronaut diapers, but at this rate, it might happen! LOL
@katekat8721 - Yup, liners it is. The sad part is already do the lean-forward-to-get-it-all-out thing and it still happens! Kegels I could do more of. Good tip! Thanks.
@missvolvo - I've heard this story more than once, as early as 29 weeks even! I'm just WAITING for the day she bounces at just the right moment on just the right spot and I end up in L&D. That will be an awesome day - to be told "nah, you're not in labor. You just peed your pants." I'm half joking and half not. I think it's going to happen!
@Manada - I think I was having this even that early on! Crossing your legs pre-sneeze is a good starting defense but I'm seeing a liner is a good idea too.
Good luck! I hope it doesn't get worse for you like it has for me!
