Having lots of trouble naming #3

Girls name is pretty set - Olivia. We had it narrowed down the 3 boys names until the ultrasound tech guessed boy. Now that boy may be a reality, I have all the old names rushing back.

Our top three are/were:

#1 Patrick (no nn)

#2 Elliott - not usually my style, but I can't shake it

#3 James (no nn)

Here are some names we've been revisiting:

Scott - Really love it but can't picture it on a baby

Mitchell - First thing DH said after u/s tech guessed boy

Nathan - Had this picked out for DS1

Benjamin - Use to love it, not sure now

Ryan - Use to love it, not sure now

Alexander - Goes well with DS1 Christopher

Nolan - DH (and most of you) don't like it. Plus, next door neighbor just used it.

Can't use: William, Daniel, Miles, Nicholas, Jacob, Matthew, Jack, Lucas, Joshua, Jonathan, Trenton, Evan, Henry or Thomas. (Tons, I know).

Mason, Reid, Aiden, Isaac,  Ethan, Declan, Connor, Elijah and similar are nice but NMS.

Thoughts?

The only one I like from that list is Mason.

I like Elliot. It would be #1 for me. I also like James but Patrick is NMS

I think you have a great list/lists. 

My top picks would be:

1. Mitchell 
2. James
3. Benjamin 
4. Alexander
5. Ryan 

Also, throwing Nathaniel out there because I love it and think it fits with some of your other picks. 

I love Patrick - but really dislike all the nns. I know you said no nn, but I feel like it may be unavoidable.

Thanks! I usually never get support on Mitchell! It's one of the few names where I like the full name and the usual NN. I know what you mean about Patrick. I had dismissed it because of the possible NNs, but I was hoping the look of death would deter anyone from trying...

Nolan - LOVE- it's my DS's name ! We call him Noel or Noely at home.

-Sullivan, Desmond, Pierce, and Roman were also on my list for boys.

I don't think you could go wrong with your list.

Mitchell isn't bad, but it sounds harsh to me.

If you really love Scott then go for it! They're babies such a short time of their entire lives! Better to have a mature name on a baby then a baby name on an adult.

I really like a lot of your choices. You really can't go wrong with any of them I think my top three from your choices is Patrick, Mitchell, and Nathan.
