Hi, everyone! My BMB suggested that I post over here as well after the week that we've had with our twins. I'm 21 weeks pregnant with mono/di (identical) girls, and Baby A (Madison) has an SUA. At my 20 week u/s, they found that Madison definitely isn't growing like she needs to be. When the girls growth difference is 20% or higher, it causes extreme alarm per the doc. At 16 weeks, their difference was 8% and now it's 17%.
This means, I'm now on a modified bed rest indefinitely. I have to go to work and come home and lay down in order to attempt getting more calories to her. They predicted that at my 24 week appointment, I'll have to quit work.
If the growth difference gets to 25%, it sounds like I'll be put on hospital bed rest, and we have to pray that this happens after 24 weeks because a growth difference that high would mean her best shot at making it is outside of me. Otherwise, the risk of her being stillborn is much greater.
I thought I'd take their advice and introduce myself over here as well for the high-risk support. Thanks!
