Stupid question (possibly a little TMI for some)

I know, I know, I'm a nurse and should know this but honestly-- I get awfully stupid about fertility sometimes. 

So I was putting in my menstrual cup in prep for what I believe is supposed to be AF arriving any second now (I have cramps and I'm a day late). And when I pulled my hand out of my undercarriage, I noticed egg-white fluid. Now, MH and I did happen to BD last night and I seem to recall semen looking a lot like egg-white CM. 

I do not have the desire to look at Google images of other people's CM (at least not if I can help it), so anyone have any knowledge about this??

    I've wondered about the difference before too.  The way that I've read to distinguish is that EWCM will tend to sink in water, and semen to dissipate. I have indeed noticed this when questionable stuff falls in the toilet, but I've never gone so far as to try to collect test so not sure about all the logistics involved...  I also think that if it's really stretchy it's probably EWCM. If not, it could be either.

    I think the EWCM could also be your body's "lubrication" since you BD'd last night. And semen can either be EW or clear depending on the guy, so that's no true guess either. I think, at this point, there are too many variables to be able to determine for sure exactly what it was.

    EWCM will be very stretchy if it's between your fingers - cause it literally is like egg whites, you know how hard it is to seperate  you get that long stringy stuff...., semen will break much quicker. when you pinch and pull between your fingers.

    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    Hmmm.... So maybe I'm ovulating super late or twice this month (I've done it before). Good thing we BD'd the other night then!

    I have also heard that EWCM will not absorb into toilet paper where as semen will absorb.
