4 weeks exactly

2. Start your registry? Where?
20 weeks, after my a/s, at Buy Buy Baby and Target

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it?
12 weeks. It was a gender neutral white onesie that said "LOVE" in the famous Philly statue type of font.

4. Choose your pediatrician?
Hoping to do that within the next week or 2. 27-28 weeks.

5. Secure childcare?
25 weeks.

6. Take maternity photos?
Scheduled for 32 weeks. Can't wait

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class?
Signed up at 35 weeks. I feel like I'm cutting it close with this one :-/

8. Take a babymoon?
Scheduled at 31 weeks to Sanibel Island, FL.

1. Find out you were pregnant? 12 dpo

2. Start your registry? Where? Well, we kept ours from last time, but I revisited it sometime after our 12 week appointment

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? Around v-day. We bought a car seat toy

4. Choose your pediatrician? Last Tuesday, 31w1d

5. Secure childcare? Around 30 weeks

6. Take maternity photos? Not doing this. Not feeling very cute! Haha

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? We take our 3rd of 5 classes tomorrow.

8. Take a babymoon? Well, due to the timing of our pregnancy with work, the best we can do is a mini babymoon at the end of April. We will be 35 weeks we are only going about 4 hours away for a long weekend at the beach.

ETA: registry at babies'r'us ad amazon. Amazon is amazing.

1. Find out you were pregnant? I was 10 DPO (current pregnancy), and also 10 DPO with DS1's pregnancy.

2. Start your registry? Where? With DS1, I started a registry after we found out he was a boy, so around 20 weeks. With this LO, I have a private registry that I created just for completion coupons and for family who specifically requested it that I made around Christmas, so I was about 18 weeks.

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? This is a tricky one b/c with both LO's I bought things before I ever even knew I was pregnant, in anticipation/hope. Both of my successful (thus far) pregnancies have been after losses and I think part of the healing for me has been to buy little things here and there....like some pacificiers or onesies - nothing big, but just something.

4. Choose your pediatrician? With DS1, I believe we chose ours about 3 months before I was due. Our pedi office held an open house type of event for expecting parents which was pretty neat.

5. Secure childcare? With DS1, once I hit about the third trimester I really started looking and interviewing places. That way it gave them about a 6 month notice since I still had 3 months left of being pregnant and then 3 months of maternity leave after that.

6. Take maternity photos? With DS1, we took them when I was 35 weeks. With this LO, I just took them last weekend at almost 32 weeks.

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? We only took classes with DS1, not this LO. I was 31 weeks pregnant when we took our childbirth class and then I was 38 weeks at my BFing class.

8. Take a babymoon? Never did with either

2. Start your registry? Where? 17 weeks at BBB and BRU

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? I bought a replica of my childhood teddy bear a few years ago to save for when we had a baby.

4. Choose your pediatrician? 33 weeks.

5. Secure childcare? Not sure. MIL offered to be our childcare and I think I was about 12 weeks.

6. Take maternity photos? We aren't doing this.

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? We aren't doing this either.

8. Take a babymoon? 34 weeks. We are headed out for 1 night tomorrow.

2. Start your registry? Where? We did a registry at BRU around 24 weeks just for the things we were purchasing ourselves - only for the 10% kickback after my due date.

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? The day of the A/S.  I don't know if it is technically a baby item, but it was for the baby...so whatever.  It's a stuffed alligator.

4. Choose your pediatrician?  My doctor who is overseeing my OB care is a family practice physician.  She will also be "C's" doctor.  

5. Secure childcare? He will be going to an in-home daycare that my 8yo and 4yo currently attend.

6. Take maternity photos? Considering, but haven't decided for sure on this one yet.

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? Opted out.

8. Take a babymoon? Opted out.  We will be saving vacation time to take a summer trip to our family cabin instead.

2. Start your registry? Where? - not yet, but will register at BBB and probably Target

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? - my mom brought over soft organic onsies she had purchased a while back

4. Choose your pediatrician? - we have some interviews coming up next month

5. Secure childcare? - working on this as well- it's insanely expensive so I'm researching our options

6. Take maternity photos? - I do photos every 2 weeks in front of a chalkboard that says how many weeks/fruit

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? - will schedule after we're 20 wks 

8. Take a babymoon? - we're going away for a week in 2 weeks so that will be a baby moon - hopefully a quick weekend get away this summer as well

1. Find out you were pregnant? Day 28 of my cycle. I have been burned by early testing and early losses in the past, so I held out until just before AF was due.

2. Start your registry? Where? I won't have one because this is my 2nd child.

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? I haven't yet. I will probably wait to find out the gender first. If it's a boy, I probably won't buy much, as I still have all of DS's stuff. If it's a girl, watch out! I'l be going on a shopping spree.

4. Choose your pediatrician? We'll use the same one we use for DS. She's great and has young kids of her own.

5. Secure childcare? We are lucky to have grandparents who live nearby who will be our childchare!

6. Take maternity photos? Probably around 8 months.

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? None this time around

8. Take a babymoon? Nothing planned, but hoping to do at least a little getaway with DH.

1. Find out you were pregnant? 3.5 weeks -- started getting faint positives at 9DPO

2. Start your registry? Where? Probably BRU and/or Amazon. DS is 5, so it's been a long time since we had any baby stuff in the house!

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? Ordered a belly band and prenatal workout DVDs for me, but nothing for baby so far. We're moving in 3 months so probably nothing until we're good and settled.

4. Choose your pediatrician? Need to move first; maybe around 6 months PG?

5. Secure childcare? I'll be working from home, as will SO, so no child care. Maybe a mommy's helper a couple hours a week though.

6. Take maternity photos? Not sure; didn't get to with DS b/c I was on bedrest from 31 weeks, so hopefully around 33 or 34 weeks.

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? Also not sure on this one. I didn't take a class with DS and didn't feel like I'd missed anything, but since I want to try and have a natural birth this time around, I may end up taking classes.

8. Take a babymoon? 2nd trimester some time, if we do.

1. Find out you were pregnant? 4 weeks 2 days

2. Start your registry? Where? I have made a list of items I want but I haven't signed up for a registry yet. I have been doing a lot of research and will be signing up for BRU.

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? I haven't bought anything yet but once we have our 12 week appt, I plan to buy the cutest little brown baby loafers for our announcement. DH wears loafers so I thought it would be cute.

4. Choose your pediatrician?  I am considering the family practice that my nieces and nephews attend. I hear wonderful things about them.

5. Secure childcare? MIL used to be a live in nurse and has offered to help with childcare. I also have a good friend who runs a successful in home daycare and has said she will give us a discount.

6. Take maternity photos? Haven't taken any yet because it is all bloat now but my sister is a photographer and will be taking some when I am around 30wks (big enough to see)

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? Will be signing up for a few in the area after 20wks

8. Take a babymoon? Planning a vacation to North Carolina to visit family at 18 weeks

2. Start your registry? Where? Haven't started it yet. Probably Amazon and Babies R Us

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it? I bought my first baby item way before we started ttc. It's a little corduroy hat, and it has been a symbol of our future family for me.

First item since finding out about this baby specifically: the wall decals I ordered for the nursery a week or two ago. They haven't arrived yet, and I am excited for that delivery.

4. Choose your pediatrician? Just started researching.

5. Secure childcare? Researching now (and it feels too early, based on the lack of response I am getting from day care providers - nobody wants to commit this far in advance)

6. Take maternity photos? Mulling that over now. I guess we'd do that in May or June, if we're going to. 

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? I am just about to sign up - we're looking at June dates.

8. Take a babymoon? We took one at 9 weeks, but that was planned before we got our BFP. We're taking a long weekend the first week of June as well.

First off ... sorry I've been AWOL last couple (more?) weeks ... as the due date and, even more crisisey-feeling, time of starting maternity leave (only 2 more weeks of school to get everything done ... YIKES!!  Then April vacation to try to clean up the classroom so it's OK for the long-term sub, and do my part of the end of year paperwork, etc...)  and also of my mother-in-law arriving (in 2 days; staying for almost 6 months) things have just been so busy!  I've peeked in a couple times to read how folks here are doing but that's all there's been time for. 

In weeks or months of your pregnancy, when did you/ when do you plan to:

1. Find out you were pregnant?

right about 4 weeks by LMP so maybe just before by actual o date.  

2. Start your registry? Where?

pretty late - maybe at around 32 weeks? only on amazon.  

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it?

I think at about 20 weeks - I was looking for maternity clothes at consignment stores and couldn't resist a couple of adorable and really soft onesies that were on the 1$ rack.

4. Choose your pediatrician?

still on the todo list (and i'm 36 weeks so better get on that ...) ... there's really not a lot of options in our area though which is why I keep putting it off.

5. Secure childcare?  

around 26 or 28 weeks?  though had laid groundwork before that.  a co-worker's mom (who has run day-cares before plus been an awesome mom and is an awesome grandma) who watches another teacher's baby (almost 1 year old now) will take mine too and it will just be the two of them.  So happy with this plan!  Right near work; small setting; someone I trust.

6. Take maternity photos?  not going to

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class?  not doing this either - just reading lots.  

8. Take a babymoon?  nope.    would've been nice but no time.

2. Start your registry? Where?  Last week at 23 weeks, We registered at babies r us and on amazon

3. Buy your first baby item? What was it?  We bought some booties on our honeymoon in Ireland a year and a half ago.  The only thing I've purchased for this baby is a few packs of diapers.

4. Choose your pediatrician?  Working on getting this now.

5. Secure childcare?  Not sure yet, we are hoping to avoid it for a little while.

6. Take maternity photos? I don't think so...

7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? Sometime between 30 and 33 weeks I think.

8. Take a babymoon?  Does a road trip to West Virginia to visit family count?  If so, Easter weekend!

Take maternity photos? Didn't 7. Take your childbirth/ newborn care class? Around 30 weeks 8. Take a babymoon? We planned to during the first trimester but had to reschedule for the second bc I had such bad ms. We went to a b&b in Lancaster, PA.
