The Evolution of Co-Sleeping?

What does co-sleeping look like with an older baby? I co-sleep part of the night with my 13 month old DD and I'm curious when I can do things like use pillows or blankets... I'm having a hard time finding this type of information online. Thanks for your help!

Re: The Evolution of Co-Sleeping?

  • what PP said- once baby is coordinated enough to swat away a blanket or pillow that may overlay them, it is fine to use them. (we used pillows and blankets for ourselves from the beginning, but were always careful to keep them away from DS when he was really little.)
  • Awesome- thanks! Yes, this is for bedsharing and she's pretty well coordinated. We play peekaboo with the sheets too and she seems to be able get off any sheet or blanket.
  • Loading the player...
  • Use blankets and pillows, she'll be fine. My kids used pillows for themselves around two.

    DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
