Sick

Milla is so sick :( I think it's a bad cold, but idk. She can't sleep, major congestion, bad cough, red watery eyes, won't eat, fever of just over 101, she keeps gagging on the snot too. I hope she sleeps tonight, last night was rough, and feels better when she's rested.
I have humidifier on high, used the nose sucker, put Vicks on her feet, and caved with Tylenol hoping it'll help her sleep.

I had a lady I used to work with over the other day and her DD was sick. I know that's where she got it from. I'm a little peeved she didn't reschedule and keep her germs away. The girl, she like a month younger than Milla, put almost everything in her mouth. I lysoled the toys after, but I guess the damage was done. Sigh... Milla had loads of fun with her, so yeah.

Re: Sick

  • ugh! Poor Milla & Minervacullen. After the last playdate we hosted (& got sick a bit afterwards) have decided it's better to meet up at a park or mall or do a walk because there at least we can wash hands. Otherwise, we have the whole house to decontaminate. Funny how a few months back, the preference was the opposite.

  • Right! She mentioned meeting at the aquatic center next time. I'm game for that!

  • Poor thing! Also try to sit in a steamy bathroom for about 15 minutes. It will make her nose run a lot, but it's snot that won't be going down her throat!

  • This sounds like my LO! He's got boogers for days, a cough but luckily no fever and is still sleeping well, not eating as much though but drinking well. This is only the second day, last time he had a bad cold it went horrible on the 3rd night. I have the humidifier going, put vicks on his feet and on a towel under his sheet, let him play in the baby tub as I turned the bathroom into a sauna which seemed to help and of course have been using the bulb syringe non stop.
Fresh air and warm soup for dinner seem to help loosen up some of his mucus. I hope Milla feels better soon and that you both get a good night's rest! Elevating the crib might help with her sleep. Good Luck!
  • I know this other girl was in contact with a baby with rsv the week before. That baby was in the hospital for 4 or 5 days. I'm worried that's what it is. The cough woke her a bunch. I am going to go dig out my stethoscope and keep an eye in her lungs.

  • Poor Milla, I was hoping she was feeling better today but it doesn't look like it.  I hope it doesn't turn into RSV.

  • She ate some breakfast and half a crayon. That's better than yesterday. She's also playing a little.

We ate part of a crayon yesterday.  I'm waiting for the green diaper... That should be festive. :)

  • She's acting tons better, still hacky and congested. She still isn't eating much either. She played a lot today.
I'm sick now and it's brutal. I might use her nose thing on myself.
