Have any of you switched from Dr. Browns to another bottle with less pieces to it? My LO turned 7 months and we will be traveling out of state and I am looking for a more "simple" bottle that is easier to wash.
FYI, your subject title is misleading. You're asking about alternatives to Dr. Brown's, not something about them. As for me, I used them for the entire first year with DD, and will do so with DS, who is 8 months now, so can't really help with alternatives.
LO is 8.5 months now. Have used DR. Brown's from the start and do not plan to switch, however I am sure your child is old enough now that it wouldn't matter too much. Buy an easier bottle and see if he/she takes to it. Can always change back.
Is the only reason you want to switch because of the pieces? I've thought about switching too because it's annoying to wash all the pieces, but honestly every other bottle I have tried gives DS major gas. Dr. Browns is the only bottle that he doesn't get gas with. I figure, why fix it if it's not broken?
Yes just because of the pieces and because we will be staying in a hotel for a week so its going to be a strugle to wash and dry all the pieces. I've decided to keep them. I don't want to change more things for LO. Sleeping in a different place will be enough.
Try Born Free. They still have the same number of parts, but the internal parts are smaller and easier to clean. I swear they are the same company as Dr Browns. If you have the wide neck Dr Browns, most of the pieces are interchangeable.
