First person to post comes up with QOTW. :) I'm SO tired, but so in love.

  • I am 28 weeks and 2 days with di/di girl twins and so excited to have made it over to third tri! I have a feeling this is how it's going to be though:

    https://static.someecards.com/someecards/usercards/MjAxMy1hY2QxYWRkZTg2MGVhMDA0.png

I'm on a part time schedule at work and so far it's been helping with the fatigue but I'm still pretty crampy. We've had our showers and are currently in the process of prepping the nursery for painting, then I'll be ready to decorate and organize yay!

Hope everyone is doing well and babies and utes are behaving!

  • How far along are you?
    34 Weeks!

Do you have any upcoming appts or updates to share?
Next app't is the 16th. Last week's appt went well (even dropped a few pounds). My MIL threw me a Sprinkle last Sunday. I loved getting all the girlie things including a bikini :)

    How are you feeling?
Tired but not as stressed. We have been dealing with plumbing issues, which resulted in an excavation of our lawn and a wrecked finished basement. We are getting the pieces back together slowly.

QOTD: Do you have names picked out already? Her name will be Lauralee Nancy. I gave DH a deadline, which he obliged. Lauralee was his top choice. Nancy is in memory of my Mom (passed 11 years ago) and his Grandmom (passed in February). Have you shared or are you keeping them secret?  I have shared. I love our choice, and so far others do, too!

  • Hi ladies!  So crazy to be almost 2 weeks into 3rd tri already!!!

    How far along are you?
I'm 28w5d today, and it's beyond me how we're this far along already!  Time has seriously flown right on by!

Do you have any upcoming appts or updates to share?
I actually had my 28w appointment today.  I had my second 1-hour glucose test, so FX that everything still looks good, but I am gaining weight like cray cray.  I'm up 9 lbs in the past 3 weeks - whoa!  But my MW said it's pretty common for that to happen when you don't put on any weight in the beginning, which I didn't until about 20 weeks...hopefully the weight gain doesn't continue to be this rapid, but I've honestly only put it on in my belly, so who knows!  I'm up a total of 19 lbs in 9 weeks - OH MY! lol

    How are you feeling?

Still feeling pretty good, but getting more tired since I haven't been sleeping through the night anymore.  I wake up pretty much every time I move, and I'm pretty sure I wake up DH, too.  Sorry babe!  It's getting harder to sit in my chair at work all day, too.  My MW suggested getting a stability ball to sit on and wrote me a Rx so that no one at work could tell me I couldn't mwahahaha!  So maybe tomorrow I'll go out and see if I can find a suitable one to bring to work with me.

QOTD: Do you have names picked out already? Have you shared or are you keeping them secret?
Yuppers!!  We were going to name baby after a family member, but we keep calling him/her a different name, so the family name just doesn't feel organic.  Most likely we'll go with this other name, but we won't make a final decision until we see baby's face :-)  And NO WAY will we be sharing the name choices.  We did ask my parents if we could use the family name if it felt right because I wanted to make sure they'd be OK if we used the name, obviously.  But we'll see!

  • Thanks for taking over!! And Congrats to @AuntJessy!

I am 37 weeks today and exhausted after a day of shopping and nursery organizing! I haven't slept much lately so I think its wearing on me as well (all of us are probably going through that though!).
I had an appt on Tuesday and got the GBS test done, hopefully that is negative as I am allergic to a lot of meds and don't do well with antibiotics. My next appointment is on Monday.

We are naming the baby after my husband, Victor. It isn't a secret but we haven't announced it either- just fill people in when they ask.

  • Thanks @katekat8721 for taking over!

I'm 32 weeks! I didn't get a call from my blood test so i'm assuming they haven't come back yet. I have been so itchy that I can't help but cry so if these tests come back negative i'm seriously going to side eye my DR and tell him he needs to figure this out cause its not normal. Other than that, baby is doing great and just trying to find some motivation to get these last 3 weeks of school done.

QOTW: His name will be Henry Russell. Henry because we just like it and Russell is my father in laws name and he is a very special man to us. We made a name announcement with the gender announcement and it went over well. I think because we were "announcing" it and not just telling people, that people didn't give us opinions on his name. Mostly we just got "is henry a family name?" AKA why did you pick that name lol but I don't care it feels so right when we refer to him as our little henry <3
  • @tryingyetagain‌ love your name choice. I was also liking Elizabeth. My fn is Carolina (pronounced with a long e, not I, though) :)

  • Congratulations @auntjessy!

@katekat8721 ~ Thank you for taking over the check-ins and for adding me to the list. :)
@thecuddleeffect ~ Best wishes for Monday!
@KRoseToes ~ Hoping everything goes well for you next week!

I am 28 weeks and this is my first 3rd tri check-in! While I'm excited to be meeting our baby soon, I'm also getting more stressed out and anxious now that it's less than 12 weeks away - where did the time go? I have a routine appt this Friday. Other than that, DH and I did some baby shopping today and purchased the stroller, baby monitor and a few other items. We got some good deals and it's nice to have some of these purchases out of the way. The shopping trip definitely left me exhausted and I ended up taking it easy the rest of the day. I always seem to think I can do more than I should be, and don't realize it until it's too late.

QOTW: We have a name picked out and have actually had it picked out since before I was pregnant. We won't be sharing it with anyone until she is born. We both really love the name.

Hope all of you are having a good weekend!

  • @mishabelle521 We LOVE the name Henry! That was our top boy name!

  • Hi everyone and hope all are doing well!! I am 31 weeks and everything is getting really hard! I think my greatest fear right now is being told I have to go on bed rest. My work is pretty physical and I am trying to cut back, but laying in bed all day is not a good alternative!! Got some swelling, pelvic pressure, some Braxton hicks. Next appointment is in a week. Can't wait!

QOTD: our names are David William and Ava Elizabeth Grace. We did a surprise guessing game at our first party which made our family so happy. We didn't tell anyone our thoughts until we announced!

  • Hi ladies. All is well here. I will be 31 weeks on Tuesday and I can't believe how fast it's all moving! Next appt isn't until the 15th, I'm just dealing with a lot of heartburn these days, but I know it could be much worse so it's all good :)

Our boy name was easy, the girl name took a bit of time but we have decided on Joseph Douglas(still working out a nn) or Eleanor Ann(Ellie). We have been sharing the name and I really haven't gotten any flack for either one, not that we would change them otherwise!

    @auntjessy Congratulations!!!

I'm good, definitely more easily fatigued and my feet like to swell up at night. Passed my glucose test and finally bought a dress for my shower next weekend:

They only had navy at the store but online it comes in coral too. Wondering if I should exchange it for coral since that's a springier color. But I bought coral colored jewelry to go with the navy one already.  Not sure,  WWYD?

QOTW: No names yet.  Boys names have been really hard for us. Neither of us have a name we really love.  Just a few "that might work" options. I'm hoping something starts to stick with us soon.  Since it's been so hard to come up with a name I think I will keep it a secret once we decide, it might be too easy for us to change our minds.  If it was a name we totally loved from the beginning we'd probably announce it.

  • @auntjessy, congrats on your LOs!  I had a little feeling it may have been time since there was no 3rd trimester post!
    @katekat8721, thanks for taking over!
@whoberry, I LOVE the navy! I think it'll look great with coral accessories. (But I'm also a huge navy lover with nearly half my wardrobe in that color).

36 weeks 3 days here. Had an appointment this past Thursday. Baby is head down, +2 station, and I'm not dilated, but I have been feeling contractions off and on this past week. I'm feeling great!  I finished my last full day of work on Friday and this coming week, I'll be working part time until lunch and then I'll be officially on my leave after Friday. I can't wait! I am pretty uncomfortable and swollen. The teachers at work surprised me with a shower this past Friday. So sweet. And then right after, my class surprised me with another shower. It was so much fun celebrating the baby making it feel so real! The hospital bag is almost packed, and then we're moving on to pack DD's bag since she'll be staying with my ILs or mom.
We're team green, so we've picked out a few names for either. The front runner for a girl is Lucy -- maybe Lucy Jane (still working on a MN...Jane is my mom's MN) and if it's a boy, it's a toss up between Henry Nathan or James Henry. Henry is DH's grandpa and Nathan is DH. James is my godfather/uncle who passed. We haven't told anybody.

  • Congrats on your babies @auntjessy!
    Thanks for taking over @katekat8721.

How far along are you? Do you have any upcoming appts or updates to share? How are you feeling?
40w1d...still have an inside baby. :)  I have one last appt this Friday and then induction on Sunday.  Hoping she will come on her own before then!  I am trying some labor inducing techniques at this point (though nothing too wacky).   I actually feel decent, I am just anxious to meet this baby!

QOTD: Do you have names picked out already? Have you shared or are you keeping them secret?
We do have a name and have kept it mostly secret.  I've shared it with my best friend and I ended up blurting it out to my boss  (he has ways of getting me to talk, apparently!)

Congrats auntjessy!  (I won't tag you since your hands are surely full!)  Hope your healing is quick and your babies and you get to go home soon!

Thanks for taking over @katekat8721!  Glad your work schedule has decreased so you can keep your feet up more often.  How exciting about your nursery and showers!

@thecuddleeffect Best of luck today!  Hope the C is quick and straightforward.  So excited for you to meet your little boy!

@whoberry I love the navy, especially with coral jewelry.  If you get to wear it again navy will give you more options of changing the look with accessories -- I'd keep it!

@olenkapdx Hope your little one gets uncomfortable in there and decides to come out and play on her own!

I'm 30w2d with a little boy and generally feeling pretty great (aside from moving awkwardly and being tired, but it's not terrible).

I had my growth scan on Friday and graduated from the MFM -- woohoo!  Baby boy has managed to completely dominate my uterus septum, to the point that he has it so far pushed down that it isn't even visible anymore, so they're pretty confident that I'm going to escape any septum-related delivery complications.  He is head-down and so lodged into my pelvis that they weren't able to get a real measurement of his noggin -- hopefully he stays there!  Means his feet are good and wedged under my ribs, which can be a little shocking if he kicks just right, but I love it despite the "Ohhh!" factor.

No definitive name yet.  We've been talking about one for years that I keep going back and forth on.  My mother notoriously gives very harsh opinions about baby names (she told my brother and SIL when they told her their baby was going to be named Clara that "That's not a name.  You need to think of something else") so even once we decide no one will know until after he's here and hopefully she'll be slightly more inclined to be considerate.

    Happy Monday ladies!

  • A big welcome to all the new ladies, sorry my check-in is so late.

How far along are you? Do you have any upcoming appts or updates to share? How are you feeling? I'm 39 weeks 3 days today. The next check-in I might be a mom!

I have my weekly appointment on Wednesday, where I'll get on the schedule for an induction in case the LO decides to be late. My due date is Friday, but no signs of labor so far.

I'm feeling all the feelings: excited, terrified, nervous, emotional, scared, sad, happy. I'm all over the place, because I know my life is about to change in the biggest way possible. Physically I'm feeling a bit better; my headaches and heartburn have gotten better. Still not sleeping well at all.

QOTD: Do you have names picked out already? Have you shared or are you keeping them secret? Our daughter is named Sophia Juliet. Her first name is a family name and was picked a long time ago, before I even met DH. :-) Luckily he loved it too. We fought a bit on the middle name, but he came to his senses in the end. We have shared with everyone: friends, family, coworkers. I never received a negative comment, but I couldn't care less what others think. It's not their baby!

hi ladies!  Glad to finally be joining the 3rd tri group!!  28wk5d today - and just realized that this Friday, we'll be exactly 2 months from our 38 week cutoff!  So, less than 2 months to go!!

My swelling and carpal tunnel has gotten worse over the past week (I can barely hold a pen, although typing is still doable).  And, I failed my 1-hour glucose test last Thursday, so have the 3-hour test scheduled for this Friday morning.  This Friday afternoon we have another u/s and checkup, and will find out the results of our Harmony and other blood tests (since both babies are showing echogenic bowels, and baby girl also has an EFI left ventricle).  We've been upgraded to high risk again, and are now seeing the high risk OB at the hospital every 2 weeks.  Trying to decide whether to just go ahead and have our care transferred entirely to the hospital physicians (it would save me having to go for checkups at my regular OB, on top of all the u/s and fetal monitoring at the hospital...).

QOTD:  We've had names picked out for several months, but just finalized them a few weeks ago.  They are a secret until the babies are born.  I started working on the babies' scrapbooks this weekend, and it definitely made it more "real" to see their names in sparkly glitter letters on their cover pages!!  DH and I have both been going into my craft room/office every day just to look at their names ;o)

    *1st IVF cycle, October 2013 (Synarel, Menopur (75 iu), and Gonal-F (150 iu)) -- BFP!!  Saw two babies at our 5wk5d u/s on Oct. 28th!  EDD=June 25, 2014

    Congrats to Jenn06L80!!!
@whoberry I love the navy with coral accessories!

I am 34 weeks and 5 days and can hardly believe how close I am getting to the end!  Our appointment on Thursday went well.  I have an amniotic band that the doc is keeping a close eye on, but so far it is not interfering with growth so we'll have another ultrasound at 36 weeks to look.  We started child birth classes last night, which makes things seem real!  I had my last baby shower (out of four!!!) this weekend, so now we need to organize everything and see what we still need, which shouldn't be much.

After much debate, we are naming our little girl Ella Clair.  Ella was my grandmother's name, and Clair was DH's grandfather's middle name, and his dad's middle name.
