Baby's Position for Birth

My midwife said that my LO is witg her eyes towards my butt and her butt facing my belly. Isnt that a good position for birth??

Yes, ideally, you want the baby facing your back. Did your midwife suggest this wasn't good or something?

Yes, she told me to go on all fours and arch my back repeateadly at least 10-20 times a day to rotate the baby. When I asked her what position the baby is currently she said her face is facing your butt and her butt your belly. You want her to rotate.. So I googled it, lol, and the internet said that how my baby is is an "ideal" position..

did she explain why she wanted her to rotate? im not sure why she would because thats a perfect position any other would/could cause problems. a new midwife would be in order for me but its a little late now you only have a few weeks. good luck

Thats what I thought too. I get seen by 3-4 midwives and whoever is on call will do my birth. I will ask on my next appointment again.

Her explanation was that the softest part is the back...hmm, i definitely neeed to ask them again on Wednesday. Thanks for your reply

Wow, that makes zero sense. I wouldn't follow her recommendation and have a chat with her at the next appointment about why she'd tell you that sunny side up is better.

I agree something seems off?  Maybe she meant that that was the position that baby needed to be in and that baby currently isn't?  In either case, doing cat/cow yoga poses as she suggested won't cause a baby in a good position to move to a bad one (and it's great for your low back!).

Thanks. I was on spinningbabies which is what prompted my post. I wonder what she meant. Well she clearly stated that the baby is in that position
