GD - Walking before meals

This would probably be a question for my doctor or my nutritionist, but I don't get to see either of them for at least another week...

I had GD with my first pregnancy. I controlled it by diet and a lot of exercise, taking a walk after every meal, and moving around a bit after every snack. I'm now expecting baby 2, and while I haven't been diagnosed yet, I found out that some symptoms I was attributing to pregnancy (dizzyness, extreme thirst, frequent urination) might be symptoms of GD. I've been feeling better since going back on my GD diet.

The first time around, I would eat a lot of nuts, peanut butter and eggs at meals. However, my LO has nuts and eggs allergies, and is too young to understand why I wouldn't share something with her, since we always eat the same meal. I've been walking to her to daycare and coming back to eat my toast and PB, and having lunch after going to pick her up on foot, when she's napping.

Is walking before my meal as beneficial as walking after them? Or could it actually hurt my sugar levels? I won't have my test strips for a few weeks, until I can talk to my doctor about my concerns and get to see someone at the Diabetes Center.
