My babe outgrew the Thirsties absorbancy at 3 weeks and I had to add a hemp doubler which got us through to about 5-6 weeks but I had to change then every 2 hours or he would definately leak out of them. And I really don't think he is very heavy wetter.
Also the Imagine NB Stay Dry AIOs are really nice (and a good price!).They are super soft and fit well; not one leak. They would have fit my LO at 6lbs and she's still fitting into them at 10lbs.
I actually liked the kawaii pure and naturals for overnight when she was younger. I double stuffed them once she started sleeping longer stretches and I didn't need to change her at night (she never pooped at night). Pockets aren't any more work to put on than an AIO.
I've only used BGs but I really love them. They aren't great for a newborn but DD is really starting to fit into them good now at 2 months. She has skinny legs and bum genius diapers seem to fit better in the legs. She sleeps through the night most nights and so far the absorbency is great.
RAR have been our best overnight diapers. I also have BG but I haven't had luck with those once he was STTN.

The only AIOs that I have used are thirsties. I like that they are super trim and have a great fit. However, they are not very absorbent, so we usually need a doubler, so we end up using them more like pockets.
My favorite NB AIO's are definitely Blueberry Simplex, we used them from birth until my LO outgrew the rise size at ~12 weeks. We never felt the need to stuff anything additional in the optional pocket, but I liked that it had it, and with the design they dried the best out of my AIO's I also had: - RaR's Lil Joeys which ran the smallest (could fit a preemie) but we outgrew the absorbancy by 2 weeks with no easy way to add to it. These were also a PITA to get dry / tell if they were dry or still damp because there was no way to get to the absorbent part of the diaper. If I had it to do over again I would not have bothered to get these for what little use we got from them. - Thirsties size 1 AIOs ran the biggest, they fit for us from the start but it was a close thing, and with the rise unsnapped we could still get them on her now if we wanted to but we outgrew the absorbancy around 4 weeks and needed to stuff a doubler or preemie prefold in the optional pocket to even get daytime use from them. With the extra stuffing they became a tight fit around 3 months so we put the away in favor of OS pockets, (We're still using the Thirsties duo wrap size 1 covers with prefolds, highly recommend them. And Thirsties OS pockets.)
I didn't get any BG newborn diapers, but I like BG OS pockets. The BG 4.0 OS pocket using the newborn insert fit pretty well at 1 month.
Re: AIO's - Thirsties, BG or RaR...Which do you prefer?

I like BG elementals but freetimes aren't my night time diapers because they're microfiber and I just don't care for MF. I like BB simplex too!
